This substrate is good and holds humidity but an issue is with little wood insects I kept on finding them but overall they are good for humidity in an enclosure

Good but there are better alternatives
Good but I’d go with reptichip or coco husk. Holds humidity with a ceramic for about 2 days and then you have to constantly keep on top of it. Once it dries it becomes very dusty so could cause respiratory issues if not humidified.
