Great product
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I just received this today and what a great product. Easy to put together and got my umbrella and it looks great. I have an older version of this same umbrella base for over 5 years and it has not failed me yet. It was a great price and I would recommend this product.

Very Quality Umbrella Base
This is a quality base that fit our new umbrella perfectly and feels sturdy and quality. We are happy with the purchase. Our table is all set up. I can’t wait to use it to eat dinner outdoors soon!

Base is rust-proof, umbrella tube and parts are not. Could be perfect with some tweaks...
I've bought three of these thus far. Two I bought about 2.5 years ago and one more recently to replace one from 2.5 years ago because it snapped at the base. The base is rust proof, but I'll tell you what isn't and it could be argued is the most important part, the tube/stem that the umbrella goes into. The umbrella tube is made from what seems to be a fairly thin metal that is painted to match the base. The tube is held to the base with a bolt, a fender washer, a lock washer and a nut. These pieces plus the tube itself plus the dial/screw piece that tightens down the umbrella pole all rust. To be fair I'm using these ten feet from a chlorine pool in salty ocean air, so my rust experience and conditions, could be worse than most. On the one that broke, the tube snapped at the base from corrosion and I suspect an extra shove from someone's feet;) I see the other original stand is experiencing the same corrosion. I've been thinking to coat it with a stop rust-type paint, but it wouldn't look very nice to do it on the outside, so you would have to drop it down the tube or remove the tube or do it at assembly (this would be the best time). Also, when it rains, some water can go down the tube, so you have water just sitting on the metal which wouldn't help it either since there are no drain holes. One other issue I've experienced is the tube starts to loosen over time from the base (likely from people moving the table and base around a little) which then results in the umbrella standing at an angle. Between the bolt pieces being corroded and the head of the bolt being down a 12" tube, it isn't the easiest thing to retighten. I had to buy a super long socket extension to reach the bolt head. I'm not sure there is a perfect umbrella stand out there, but this one could pretty much be there with stainless and/or galvanized steel and/or a heavy coating of rust prohibiter. The color (brown with gold faux paint hue) of the stand has pretty much held up. The base over time looks mostly dark brown. Really the only unsightly thing over time is the rust. The base doesn't seem to mark up the pool deck and with the umbrella going through a table into the stand it seems to stay put for tropical storms. The reason I replaced the broken one vs. getting a different stand is because I already had one (I need two) and didn't feel like reattempting fate to find the perfect umbrella stand. If they break again I may get a welder buddy involved and make the perfect stand since the base doesn't have any issues (of course I would have to attempt to match the color, but maybe just paint it all chocolate brown).

Durrible.
Does its job! Heavy (which is required). I recommend you put some spray paint on it every year (if you live up north)

Reasonably sturdy, not great under tables
This base is reasonably sturdy. It seems pretty heavy in the box, but honestly once you have the umbrella in it and open it does rock around a bit in the wind and can tip. I wish it was heavier. The finish also could be nicer - definitely some cut corners there. This last one is on me, but if you're planning to put it under a table then be sure to double check the clearance under the table. The pole on this base that the umbrella pole goes into was too tall to fit under our table, so we could only use it next to the table.
