Simple and Effective
In researching KVM switches, the prices were all over the place. This switch was one of the cheapest and I decided to give it a try. One of the primary reasons I chose it was due to the wired remote button. I mounted the button just under the height adjustment controls on my sit/stand desk. The switch has worked as it should there is a second or two lag after pushing the remote button. This could be due to the switch or may be due to the computer recognizing the input. Regardless, it's quick enough that it doesn't impact my experience. The biggest thing is that it works. The switch also doesn't require any power which is nice. There's nothing special about this switch but there's no problems with it either. It's a simple product and just works. That's all I ask for.

Works Exactly as Advertised!
Just received in mail a few hours ago so this is a straight out of the box review and since it comes with a 3 year warranty and lacks reviews I thought I would go ahead and give my take on it. I have it connected to a Windows 7 and a Windows 10 computer and so far it does exactly what I bought it for to switch back and forth between my two computers using only ONE monitor, keyboard, and mouse. I also connected a USB flash drive to the 3rd port out of curiosity and it shows up on both computers when I switch back and forth and as a heads up it does seem to have to disconnect and reconnect depending on which computer you are using as every time I switch to my W7 PC I get a popup asking me what to do with the files which is what normally happens in real time when you plug in a flash drive. I am very happy with it so far. My only complaint is in the design and I wish the HDMI OUT was in the back rather than in the front where the mouse, keyboard, and switch ports are.

Frequent keyboard and mouse disconnects
Mouse and keyboard would frequently disconnect and then reconnect. Both would frequently stop working and you would hear the MS Windows "ding" that you hear whenever a new device is plugged in and detected. This would happen about every hour or so which would get to be really annoying. One of my computers would also periodically shut down with a "keyboard error" showing on what appeared to be some sort of a BIOS screen. You'd have to power it off and power it back on to get the computer to reboot itself and come back. I guess the computer just wasn't happy about the fact that it kept losing the connection to the keyboard.I bought a different switch model from IOGEAR and it is much more stable. I've had it hooked up for about 3 days now and haven't had any disconnects. The IOGEAR model is considerably more expensive though but guess you get what you pay for.

No instructions on connections to computer
The media could not be loaded. This was my first switch, so the biggest hurdle I had was determining which HDMI went into the back of the computer and which into back of switch (it actually matters greatly). Amazon help tried to help but despite their best intentions ultimately gave me information that proved to be incorrect, and I could find no web presence for the manufacturer or contact information.Ultimately (as shown in my video) it is the HDMI less than 6 inches from the USB that goes into the graphics card HDMI slot in the back of the computer. I initially tried HDMI1 and HDMI2 on my PC with no success. Finally I saw a video from another manufacturer that specified to connect to the graphics card HDMI.Another thing customers should be aware of is you must pick up and HDMI cable for the switch to monitor connection. I had been using a Display Port connection so I needed to run out and buy an 8K HDMI cable (see photo of connections: yellow chord = remote control, black silver cable = HDMI to monitor, white chord = wired keyboard, dongle = wireless mouse, with 1 free USB port). So, I finally got it to work as expected and the product seems fine switching between my PC and laptop with full mouse and keyboard functionality, but beware there are zero instructions on connections.

Ok, but after further use, concerns
This for the "Jancane" V603-US-S 4K KVM Switch HDMI 2 Port, for 2 ComputersThe unit is simple, compact, easy to use and setup. The price is excellent and came almost instantly. The cables are proprietary combination of HDMI and USB, but this keeps them to a minimum. There is no "hotkey" which I prefer anyway and instead the remote switch feature works fine. The labels for "1" and "2" computers could be larger for older eyes, but easily fixed by adding labels. For the most part the unit works ok. After a month of use I found I did have to change my monitor since it wouldn't stay in the HDMI port, but that's not the KVM's fault. However sometimes one computer with more USB devices would have a USB port disconnect/reconnect for no reason as well as characters repeating. I temporarily removed it to isolate a problem with my optiplex 9020. The other computer didn't do this. I'm not sure if this might be the USB ports being overloaded on the one or an isolation problem or a problem with the one computer. I am thinking that a powered KVM might be preferable. This is not a powered KVM. rev 10/24/23

im sorry to say but this switch doesnt do the work and its understatement.
*when* it does work, it stuck every once in a while (mouse and keyboard stuck for 5-10 seconds).also it switches ports! I finish my work day, the laptop goes hibernate and when I startup again I need to switch ports even though I use the same setup and didn't do anything.many times I just don't use it.all in all its not a reliable product.I'm sorry to say.
