Strange to use at first, but nice and accurate
It's quite a long knife overall and feels nice in the hand. Having recently got back into home bread making, I saw this bow knife and thought it would complement the overall experience. It does fit in with the ethos, if I can describe it as that... Cutting with it felt a little strange at first, but it was sturdy and stable in the hand. Having the wooden side of it, acting as a visual guide against the bread, aided in keeping the cut straight. When it reached the bottom of the bread, there was enough blade protruding that it managed to cut all the way to the board and through the crust with ease. The bow knife won't be able to cut the slice of bread in half of course due to the wooden side, which is something you might want to keep in mind.Overall, I think it is a nice bow knife, well-made, with a sharp enough blade to manage slicing through bread perfectly fine. I think it would make for a nice gift for someone into their home-baking as being something a little bit different, yet staying within the bread making theme. I like it!
