Review: Good value hardware - Ignore the warning of an insecure connection when accessing the router via http://tnas.local, once it is connected to your LAN (as advised by TerraMaster support). Most apps you would want to stretch your legs with NAS seem to be there, including Docker engine, several synchronisation, deduplication and backup apps, and a monitoring system to attach CCTV to. The main stumbling block for me was unblocking my email address for the account registration, but this can be done via live chat. The hours for chat seem to start and finish early in the UK (which makes sense for a China-based company), so best to log on first thing in the morning.

However the software happily let me configure my external disks as RAID, it just lost the whole setup on reboot and there was no way to get them back.

Ignore the warning of an insecure connection when accessing the router via http://tnas.local, once it is connected to your LAN (as advised by TerraMaster support). Most apps you would want to stretch your legs with NAS seem to be there, including Docker engine, several synchronisation, deduplication and backup apps, and a monitoring system to attach CCTV to. The main stumbling block for me was unblocking my email address for the account registration, but this can be done via live chat. The hours for chat seem to start and finish early in the UK (which makes sense for a China-based company), so best to log on first thing in the morning.
