Q: Can you adjust the back so that the chair makes you sit completely upright? I suffer with my back and my current chair doesn't offer enough support.

I believe this is possible however it's not how I have positioned my seat so couldn't say with absolute conviction. There are 4 adjustment levers which would indicate to me that the chair is highly configurable. What I would say about this is that it is appropriately named - it is a HIPPO! Extremely heavy and robust and solid as a rock. Nice wide seat too. I'm very happy with mine.

Q: does this chair have lumbar support?

Hi - this chair doesn't have specific lumbar support but it does have a curved design. Q: How soft is the seat? I have coccyx pain and need a soft chair..

I have lower-back pain and find this chair supportive but not overly hard. There's some give in it. I've had the chair for 2.5 years and the cushion is still as good as it was when I bought it (fabric version).

Q: What does 5 years component guarantee cover? If part of the tilting mechanism becomes faulty, will the chair be repaired? Or only parts are supplied?

Dear Rob B, The guarantee means that we send out replacement parts. As an example, if part of the mechanism fails then the whole mechanism would be replaced and we would offer any telephone support necessary to help you fit it.
