They work really well and heat up fast! I usually let them heat up for 30 mins with the case shut then open it for the remainder of my day with clients! They also heat up well in a towel warmer when you’re reusing them on the same client. (For massage therapy)

Take too long to getting hot.

The size of the stones are perfect and in great shape, but I personally can not do hot stones as a 35 year old female. A back massage is good for me, but hot stones are just too much for my skin. I have a really high pain tolerance, but these I just can't do. My husband loves them so they're a keeper. The storage box is great for traveling or stashing under the bed out of sight and out of the way.

Overall, the product does exactly what it’s supposed to in relation to the write up. Ideally, there would be a temperature control or thermostat to adjust the heating. For example, the instructions will advise you to let the stones heat for 30 minutes. At that length of time the heat generated in the case, it’s not likely that stone could be used on anybody’s skin without causing some major discomfort or even a light burn. If you do leave it for 30 minutes, you will likely find the stones need to be removed and allowed to cool for an undisclosed amount of time until you find it suitable for use. You could turn them on for 15 minutes and see if that heat factor meets your expectations. Again, the product works exactly as described, it would be a perfect world if it had a thermostatic heat control .
