Realistic Expectations Folks!
Bortle 9+ skies. Neighborhood: Oak Cliff. Just outside of Downtown Dallas Texas. The worst possible place to view the stars in my opinion. Equipment: Orion XT6i doing visual astronomy. We couldn't see much in all honesty, Because the sky was like looking at the stars through an empty plastic milk jug. After viewing the Orion Nebula for a few minutes, I remembered having my CLS Filter. Screwed it on and it made substantial difference! The Orion Nebula had a lot more contrast and detail. It was visibility much more enjoyable to observe. After that we looked at a few double stars and Pleiades which looked nice. Can't comment on Astrophotography, but for visual viewing, in the described sky, it made our night go from "hohum" to "Oh wow! Look at that!"

If you skip this your not out much
It helps but isn't a game changer for the cost I was hoping it'd make a huge difference but sadly it doesn't.

Same maker as other name brand filters
Bought this after seeing online test to compare 5 different brands. This one tested close to same performance (electronic and visual comparison by experienced astronomer) as much higher priced brands. No, it's not a Tele-View, but it costs about 20 % of the top line brand. I'm not photographing the sky professionally so a slight difference is fine. If you're a pro and can afford the premium filter, check this one first . Maybe you'll agree, the quality is good .

ZBony CLS Filter... Surprise!! (It's good)
I'm always amazed at what this company produces. Always well made, always useful, always less than other manufacturers and always shipped fast. I use the 1.25" version of this light pollution filter because i can easily position this on my Astro-camera's adapter right in front of it's sensor. Because it's one and a quarter inch it's also cheaper than the 2-inch normal filter size which they do make also.
