Very impressed with quality and ease of use

New to Android TV, easy to setup and learn how to use. Amazing picture and abundance of content from internet.Like having an Android tablet hooked to your tv. Remote works well. Mouse and keyboard are essential for most browser use. Bluetooth works well for headphones, wifi keyboard mouse combo are great. Lots of onboard memoryAnd slot for sd chip for additional storage. Usual aps already installed, YouTube is amazing on a large flat screen tv.I can't say enough good things about this box.Very happy!

Scishion AI One TV Box

What I Like:- 4GB of ram (less apps getting forced closed in background when ram runs out)- Reasonably fast performance for video playback and web browsing- USB 3.0 port!- Optical audio out- Android 8.1What I Don't Like:- 2.4G wi-fi only- Max 32GB SD card only- Box not rooted (!)This box is the Scishion AI One. It's reasonably fast, has lots of ram, and works reasonably consistent.Build quality: So the box looks like it is made out of metal but in fact it is plastic. Nonetheless build quality is about as solid as you'll get with one of these devices, with everything assembled tightly. The clock on the front is a nice touch but I did fine it is SUPER bright for my bedroom (I ended up covering it with a screen cut from old plastic sunglasses). The remote requires one USB port of the 3, so I just replaced it with a separate bluetooth keyboard since I wanted full typing and mouse experience anyways.Android UI: The version of Android used is pretty decent to navigate with the remote. It's not the air remote so typing is just a bunch of clicking (which is why I recommended getting an external keyboard/mouse combo). I'll add some pics/video of the UI so you can see it later. Many apps in Android say that they are not optimized for this device but they all installed and ran fine. The task switcher is broken, unfortunately, so you'll have to settle with going home and opening the app you want instead of using alt-tab and the task switcher. The UI is clean and not much comes preinstalled, and if you don't like the launcher it's easy enough to switch. My box was not rooted.Speed/Network: This box is reasonably fast, assuming you have a good internet connection. The lack of 5ghz wi-fi is frustrating if you live in an apartment building like I do. I managed to find an old extender to use as a bridge but if the wi-fi is not working well, it will make the box feel unreasonably slow. I recommend highly using the Ethernet instead. Once you get a good network connection it flies relative to other cheap boxes. I really do feel the 4GB ram, as apps stay in the background a lot longer. Web pages load in a couple seconds, often with a slight delay compared to my smartphone but way better than the TV's built in smart browser. The box does get hot while using it. Despite that it kept running strong for hours at a time without any force shut-down due to heat.Video Playback: At first there was some weird incompatibility with my long HDMI cable I was using that caused some artificating playback issues especially with streaming on Youtube, but after changing cables and resetting the box everything's been fine. I've had no issues aside from that with playback on Netflix (max 720p), Youtube (max 1080p) or my own video files (max 4K).Other notes: For some reason it only supports up to 32GB SD Cards. No idea why. All good when using a portable hard drive, and the USB 3.0 port is a nice touch here. Browsing through the device and playing files is much faster on that compared to the USB 2 port. Conclusion: Do I recommend it? It's one of the better boxes I've used and modern Android is nice. Some things may be a deal breaker for you, in particular the lack of 5ghz wifi is not good for my situation, but it might be OK in yours. All depends if you can use wired internet or live in an area with high 2.4ghz traffic. Aside from that it is a reasonably functional device.

Five Stars ⭐

I wanted a smart streaming device for quite some time. This is my first Android tv box. It is a compact and has a lightweight design looks good beside the TV. Good to have the HDMI cable, although, the provided cables are a little short. It has plenty of RAM (4GB) and adequate storage space (32GB) which should be sufficient for most users. It also makes it run faster and smoother as compared to boxes of the previous generation. For extra space, my 32GB card works fine with it. It has only 1 USB 3.0 port. Not a deal breaker, but having all USB 3.0 ports would have been better. The remote control is very basic and has no playback control buttons like play, pause etc. Hence, I recommend a wireless mini keyboard. Softwares like Play Store, Kodi, YouTube and Netflix (not 4K) work fine. If you are a first time user, the setting up phase can be a little difficult. All in all, I would recommend it if you can afford.

Good for gaming and watching 4K movies

I bought this one for my brother but before giving it to him I decided to test it and check if it’s performance is better than my existing android tv box which has 2GB ram and 16GB memory. The first thing I looked into this tv box was its performance at 4K resolution setting. I watched total 7 movies and all played smoothly and clear with full color depth. Second test I did with playing angry birds and a racing game. Angry birds crashed for three times and I realized that google play was not initializing so I decided to run angry birds from google play list and it worked perfectly fine. I don’t have any lags or issues while playing racing game. One thing I noticed about this device was getting heated pretty quickly compared to my existing tv box but I found overall performance better. I have not test other heavy graphics games so far and I don’t know how it will perform. Also, I felt that it’s little pricey.

So far it has some issues

So far the following things work OK:1) Netflix2) Amazon Prime3) Google Play StoreEdit:Installing Kodi from the play store allows the HDHOMErun to work through the PVR add-on, however the CPU Usage is about 30 - 40% across all 4 cores for a 720p channel. This works well on an Ethernet connection, but is a terrible slide show over WiFi.So far what doesn't work as expected:1) TV Voice Remote features are odd / nothing like amazon fire tv remote.2) RKMC (the version of Kodi shipped with this) does not have an addon repository installed by default, infact no addon repository is listed.3) Weather app doesn't allow you to choose a weather service, so it doesn't work.4) HDHomerun App will install from Google Play store, but will not display any video or audio after selecting a channel. To the product supplier: Is there an RK3288 RKMC compatible repository available? If not, I am likely going to return this and just buy an Amazon stick.
