The Fidget Game SquishyLand in Rainbow Reef Board Game, Pre-K to 2nd Grade

My son has been in speech therapy but quit cooperating. He gets frustrated or embarrassed and changes the subject to avoid the “corrections” or reinforcements. If I ask him to repeat something or repeat a letter sound, it’s the same thing. So it’s difficult to get him to practice what he needs to work on most. With that said, he LOVES this game. He does well with it and doesn’t shut down like he has in the past. I love the different level packs that are for working with different skills. Whoever came up with this is a genius and I already have begun recommending it! My only tip would be to maybe anticipate a change in placeholders at some point. The players choose a placeholder and they are all these very light, very squishy toys that very easily collect dust, lint, etc. so I think within the next few plays, we will swap for something else.

We love this game. My daughter did not want to stop playing. The creatures are squishy and cute. The game is colorful and the best part is they learn!!!!! Perfect size for play and learn. It is durable and really priced well. Easy to read and play.

My kindergarten students LOVE squishy toys, so this is more popular than Candy Land in my classroom! I love that I can continue to use it throughout the year as they learn more. It is very easy to use, but they DO need a teacher to read the cards for them. Still a great game. We can play it in 10-20 minutes, so it fits our centers time. It is a good size, fits in my shelves, and is a well-made game, and is perfect for Kindergarten to 2nd grade students. I'm very happy!

My son dislikes reading and is not quite reading at grade level. It's constant battle each day to get his 20min of reading in. So, I decided to get this SquishyLand game in hopes that I could find an activity he enjoys that helps build his reading skills. We're just two days in and he loves it! Today he asked me if we could play and we played multiple rounds. As a bonus, his brother who is going into kindergarten this year plays too so they're both getting much needed practice (there's a deck for each reading level so it makes it simple for both of them to play and learn). I highly recommend SquishyLand!!

Such a great learning game for any age! My preschooler actually played this and took turns and just absolutely loved it. And I love that he’s learning his letters and sounds! The squishies are holding up great and the game moves slow enough that they learn, but quick enough that they don’t lose interest. And I love that there’s different decks to choose from so the older kids have a challenge too!

I just got the game in the mail. My children were excited to open and play. The game board and pieces are bright and colorful. I did buy the extension packs for 3-5 grades. The children had fun. I shuffled each deck separately (K, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th). But it seemed they all were getting the "two spaces back," multiple times in a row. So, I will have to go through and see how many each deck actually has. It was not difficult to play. The size of the pieces were a bit big for the spaces on the board. That was a point of contention between my children from time to time, siblings I guess. Overall quality was good. I think the price is a bit high, at the moment. I'd recommend this game to others but advise to wait for a price drop.

My children love this game!! One of their favorite ways to learn phonics and reading. Have played multiple times over different ages because they have options for all the different ages. Great purchase!

I bought this game for my Kindergartener and Preschooler! They love playing squishy land and ask to play it daily. It really does help them learn reading without realizing it. The Kindergarden cards go over rhyming which my child has been struggling with. I can already tell playing the game has helped him understand rhyming just a little more! This game is an awesome way to make learning fun!

Kids love this game and I love that it comes with different grade levels. My kids are 4 &5.5 so in different grade levels but because they are homeschooled they get to try other advanced concepts and especially the younger one already knows concepts from sK and even g1 I’m excited to keep playing and introduce more concepts and give more opportunities for practicing. I do wish there were more cards per pack though to add more variety. Other than that it’s great and the kids love the squishies. Definitely need to purchase some extras as they already squished one to death. Haha

I have a 5 year old who isn't always a fan of reading himself and lacks focus. This is one of the only games we have that he requests by name night after night, wanting to do harder cards. Although it's still early days, if you have a phonics and reading resistant kid, this may be a good way for the whole family to play something fun and educational. Beware the squishies may be thrown about and lose their faces easily, but for the learning and enjoyment, this is ace.

My daughter loves her squishy land game and won't stop playing with it. Very good for learning how to read.

We have been enjoying this game so much! I am always looking for reading games for homeschooling, and this one is super fun, super squishy and on grade level. Add this to your homeschool games. You can also pick a card deck for each level of student who are playing to keep it at an individual appropriate reading level. Note: grade 3,4,5 cards are not included in this set, purchased separately
