Incredible Hulk Epic Collection: Future Imperfect

Não sou fã do Hulk e minha preferência não é por histórias cujo foco é o humor. Ainda assim, Peter David parece ter me enfeitiçado nessa fase do Novo Incrível Hulk (como a fase ficou conhecida no Brasil). As páginas simplesmente fluem e não consegui parar de ler até acabar a revista.Claro, ainda encontramos aqui a saga Futuro Imperfeito, que destoa um pouco das demais histórias por ser mais sombria e é também uma ótima história, um clássico do personagem.Quem gosta do gênero super herói não se arrependerá com esta aquisição

Out of all the ways one could read comics, Marvel's Epic Collections are the greatest all around way to do so! With over 500 pages, these epic collections are an anazing value. I purchased my copy at about $30 (I believe the MSRP is $40) and right now I think it's even on sale for $20!This is volume 20 of the Hulk Epic Collections, and I also have volume 1 and volume 19. By far the best part about this collection is the Future Imperfect storyline, which is a must read Hulk story!All in all I highly recommend each and every Hulk Epic Collection, but especially this one for the Future Imperfect story. If you can grab this for under $25 it is truly a steal!

Hulk Epic volume 20.I've been waiting for this for a long time now. This collection of stories, for me at least, represents the last really epic run from Peter David And with the Epic volume 19, "Ghosts of the Past" provides a nice conclusion to the previously published eight "Vsionaries" books. Many would say the 100 page Future Imperfect storyline is the highlight of this run; and it is truly excellent with a fine script and breath-taking art from George Perez. But there are so many other highlights. All of the stories are well told; action, adventure, humour, pathos, triumph and tragedy. The wedding / stag night plots are just glorious. Probably my favourite..... ( no, I can't tell you that it would be too much of a spoiler ). And Annual 20 featuring the Abomination, is just heart wrenching. You really don't expect this quality of writing in a comic book. (except you do if you've read Peter David's previous issues). Add to this the sublime art of Gary Frank. and this is an "Epic" volume worthy of the name. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Just Buy it. My very highest recommendation

While I found some parts of the Pantheon Saga better than others (and some aged very poorly) it's still more than worth buying this collection for the Future Imperfect storyline and Rick and Marlo's wedding. The Trauma arc of the Patheon issues is also phenomenal.I would only recommend reading Ghosts of the Past first, as it shows the beginnings of the Pantheon stuff and sets this book up. Though it is quite good on its own as well, if you're not committed to the whole Peter David run.
