First off all those super expensive combiner boxes sold by Honda, Champion, Whoever are a complete rip off. There is nothing fancy going on here. You can work any inverter generator with any other generator. They will all sync together and work just fine.Having said that this Y connector work perfectly. The square plastic banana connectors are perfect for Champion gennies. It is all you need combined with a 30 amp extension cable.The problem is the banana connectors. In my case it was only the negative ones that gave trouble. They are loose. They will fall out.I solved this by 'spreading' the tip of the connector with a pocketknife. This tightens the connector up. I can almost guarantee that in the future I am going to have to cut this back and solder on a couple of new banana plugs. That is ok the price is right and it does work. I will fix it when the time comes.The photo is 4 typical banana plugs. Note the way the tips are split. This Y connector has similar plugs but with a square shroud. You might find you have to spread that split tip for a tighter fit. Clearly with time fatigue will set in and the plug will be damaged permanently. I shall just cut it back and fit a new one when that happens. Of course the shroud will be a goner.

If you bond your neutral to ground at your generator, you will discover that the red and black are actually backwards on this - at least the one I got. Not a huge deal I just remember it, and plug black plugs into red jacks, but annoying. Working great with Champion so far!
