Fantastic Motherboard
This is another great ASUS Motherboard. Very quick and easy build using this board with the Ryzen CPU. Lots of USB ports, lots of expansion headers and the heatsinks on the control chips are great. I only have a couple of obstacles that had to be overcome using this board. First, there is no speaker or speaker connector on this board. Second, the space between the memory and the CPU is a little tight so be aware of that when you are selecting a CPU cooler. Your CPU cooling fan may end up sitting on top of your memory if your memory has ARGB on it - easy enough to overcome but it slowed an otherwise lightning build down for a while. Lots of support, 3 NvMe slots for solid state storage. This is a lot of bang for the buck. And performance speed? FAST. A great choice for gaming or power computing.

Excellent motherboard
This motherboard is easy to setup, provides lots of features, and is great value for money. The reliability is near the top of my list for B650 motherboards.

5 stars product with only a few disappointments
Been an Asus MB loyal fan for years and this MB reinforces my positive opinion on Asus. However, I am disappointed that the manual was not included and I had to download and then print the manual online from the Asus webpage. There was only a brief quick start guide included as documentation. I am also disappointed with the BIOS which works but is less user friendly than the previous BIOS. However, the new BIOS included more information. The RAM slots seem a little tight so a little more force was required. When I first turned it on, I am happy to report that everything works without a hiccup using a Ryzen 9600X CPU, samsung m.2 PCIE gen 5 1 TB memory and 32 GB Crucial Pro RAM. I just wished the MB had two M.2 PCIE gen 5 memory slots bc the other M.2 memory uses PCIE gen 4. There is a PCIE gen 5 expansion card slot which is reserved for future AI card. I still recommend Asus MB because my last Asus MB lasted 12 years and is still working.

Is the problem a malfunction, a bug... or a feature?
My old computer, which I purchased in 2012 was getting past it. So I decide to build a new system, being a 90's era Windows fanboy building a PC is a piece of cake. Normally. I selected this Asus board, the Ax2 version for the build, the reviews seemed good. I was careful to select the m.2, ram and CPU from the approved list. When I installed the board and components a couple of problems became quickly evident. The Sata SSD drive that my OS was on could not be recognized in the bios, they would appear on a list of connected devices... but they would not appear on the boot list. I say they because I also tried an older spare drive. While problem solving this a second problem became evident... my fan wasn’t working and the CPU temp reached just over 90C very quickly. I tried another spare fan and both CPU headers were non functional. However as a workaround I was able to connect my Cooler Master fan to another fan header. So I tried to call ASUS... they don't support motherboards over the phone. Period. I was turned away. Let that sink in people... you won’t get anywhere near someone you can verify as human. I tried the ASUS online chat, the support person told me that I would have to sign up for something called Just Answers to get support. Now I was frustrated when I did this and I did not read the fine print, I thought I was paying a token $2 fee. However the two dollar fee was a sign-up fee. I was also charged $70 for a couple of copy paste answers to the problem. To be clear I did try everything on the list of things to try. Some I couldn’t do however because there are settings that you can select in the bios to get it to recognize the drives... however all of those settings were grayed out, such as CSM. Even a bios update did nothing. I decided to buy a device that holds the m.2 and plugs into the USB... using a different computer I cloned my OS onto the new m.2 drive. Even that didn’t work in either slot, I couldn’t get it to recognize any drive at all. Now while I was problem solving this I found a video on YouTube that said with this board... “Ïf CSM item is not user-configurable and shows in grey, please install an add-on Graphics card and CSM item will turn configurable” To be clear... I did carefully choose the CPU based on the fact that it DID have onboard graphics, and I did have a couple of graphics cards on hand however I did some digging and found that neither of my cards were good enough, apparently “you need a dedicated video card that supports VBIOS” Now nobody from ASUS... not even the guy who took 70 bucks from me for a minutes work. None of them told me that. They had led me round in circles. This is unacceptable, expecting someone to have to buy a high priced graphics card just to make a motherboard work. Disgusting. Now I have returned the board, I will never buy ASUS again. Ever. Update 22nd April... I have replaced the Asus board with a cheaper Asrock board, the B650M PG Lightning Wifi. Thus far it is working well and has no coil whine. However when I went to select CSM I was able to select it, however when I exited BIOS it would restart and default back to CSM being off. But at least I was able to select CSM which told me it was working unlike the Asus board which support couldn't tell me if it was working or not. Who knows? So this lead me to do some research as to why my drive wasn't being recognized, it turns out for the last few years legacy support for old hard drive formats has been removed. Now what is shocking is how no one told me this. I contacted Asus several times and even paid the 70 bucks for third party support, they all knew I was using an old SSD and none of them said... "Hey Matt... the reason you can't use you existing drive is because it needs reformatting, there is a free Windows utility that does it, all you have to do is google "Convert an existing Windows 10 Installation from Legacy BIOS to UEFI" and follow the simple instructions" To be clear NO ONE told me that, even the troubleshooting video on YouTube mentioned nothing. So Asus still gets an F for their support for telling me nothing that I needed to know and only some things that I didn't need to know.

Amazing product
This gaming motherboard exceeded my expectations. Setup was straightforward, and the BIOS is easy to navigate, even for fine-tuning performance. It runs fast and stable, with excellent support for the latest CPUs, GPUs, and memory. The RGB lighting adds a nice touch without being over the top, and the cooling options are well thought out. Every port I need is included, and the build quality feels premium. Perfect choice for a gaming setup—I couldn’t be happier!

Near perfect
Honestly one of the best motherboards I’ve owned. It’s affordable, has a great range for wifi and connects immediately. Easy to set up, good lay out. Only downside is the gpu and m.2 are a little close so it’s hard to set up efficiently

It just works no weird issues in first boot which may vary
Just enough for all my components easy access to all areas like nvme, pins and such. Clean bios interface and easy to navigate. No weird ram issues or even rgb. Best price I found for gen 5.

Prime b650
Bought this to replace my previously shorted motherboard that was of the same brand and type, love ASUS. Product came with no damages and on time. The size ration as described on the descriptions (m-atx) fits like a glove to corresponding cases. Everything works as it should. In terms of visuals, the box as mentioned earlier came with no damages and the packaging inside was very clean and secure. Would recommend this product if you’re getting into pc building as it’s also very budget friendly while still offering great performance and premium features.

While I am happy with this board (after i managed to flash the bios) a few little details such as ram and the frequently sold together suggestions from amazon did cause an issue. The board was shipped with the first bios and needed to be updated to the current. This poised an issue with black screens and fear of bricking the board Asus Australia told me to literally F-OFF because even though I purchased the board on Amazon.com.au it had in fact shipped from California and therefore I had no warranty or support rights in breach of ACCC guidelines. Asus have a complete trash customer service team and if you value your consumer rights I would avoid this company and go with MSI or another vendor.

Have to say works like a charm. Likes the black on the steel color plates good nice with each other. Got the with a ryzen 5 7600 with 32gb 6000mhz ram paired with my rtx 3060 ti founder and a MSI MAG A750GL PCIE 5 power supply have to say what a computer. Pop on on first boot but give it time for the motherboard to do her thing. The board fits my Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-DELTA RGB is a tempered glass mid-tower ATX case and was easy to install. Lot of people had problems with wifi and Bluetooth but the fix for that is the drivers is in the armory crate program that comes with the board once into windows it would as to install Armory Crate, install it and once it done u can get the drivers right off that but make sure your Internet connection is wired to get the drivers, once that's installed you should have wifi and Bluetooth working. I would recommend this motherboard
