I got this kit as a gift for my partner who absolutely loves scrapbooking, especially before, during and after holidays. As we have one coming up I thought this would be perfect for her and she was over the moon with it.The entire kit comes in a box which can be opened and closed as much as the user would like, which makes it super handy to keep everything together if you don't have anywhere else to store the items. The kit comprises of an 80 page book made with thick brown paper, 5 different coloured pens, 5 decorative tapes, 2 sheets of corner tapes for photos/items, a cute pencil case and an instruction/inspiration booklet.The quality of all the materials is fantastic, all the way down to the pencil case which has a little doodle of scrapbooking items and feels like good quality. The paper in the book is thick enough to not have markers go through the page to the other side and also holds a few items taped to it without it getting weak. You can seal the book as often as you want by tying the ribbons on the side, which does add an extra personal touch. After trying the tapes on the paper, my partner has found that they stick really well and they can be peeled off without leaving residue if done soon after placing. For my partner, the most enticing part of the kit is the pens, of which you get 5 different colours - gold/yellow, pink, green, blue and purple. The pens are designed to feel and look like fine tip liners, but when you take the caps off they are more akin to felt tips with a smaller nib. They write with ease and look amazing on the brown paper, with a little bit of shimmer behind the colour.What sets this apart from other kits is the fact that it comes with a ''start guide'', which holds different types of information such as what scrapbooking can be used for, page layout ideas and even designs with the materials you get in the kit. It is not detailed with pages of written text, but rather has pages of photos and short text, making it super eye grabbing and makes it suitable for a variety of ages.This kit overall is one of the best my partner has come across and would highly recommend, whether for yourself or as a gift.

This is a good set with everything you need for scrapbooking. The box is large enough for you to store a few bits and pieces before you start your project and until you've completed it. Inside, the actual book has hardback covers measuring 20.4sqcm. The paper, at 250gsm, is nice and thick. The self-adhesive picture corners have a mat finish, as per paper and hardback covers - all in kraft/khaki colour in the option I chose. The double loop wire binding is in silver coloured metal and there are a couple of black satin-like ribbons (shiny on the outside with a duller finish on the inside as is often the case) to tie the whole thing together. (Think it would have been better if the binding were black too.) You also get a small box of 5 washi tape rolls. They are 1cm wide and feature geometric shapes in light, subdued colours so won't compete with what you're actually sticking with them. Finally you also get 5 felt pens in pastel but shimmering colours (pink, purple, light green, gold and silver) in a cotton pen case which can hold much more. Unfortunately the golden and green colour pens don't contrast sufficiently on the khaki paper to be instantly legible. All work perfectly (and are actually more striking) on black paper (which you have the option of getting as an alternative to the kraft variant). An 8-page guide gives you some inspiration for your scrapbook. This set will keep you occupied for some time. All in all, a nice set for creating a lovely memento - either for yourself or to gift. The box is sealed in transparent plastic film. Made in China.

This is a lovely started set for scrapbooking projects, great for holiday memories or special events like weddings. It has everything you need to get going, so would also make a good gift. The pages feel high quality, and the washi tape is very pretty. A great set.

This scrapbook has a gorgeous oldy worldly look and feel to it. The only clue that it belongs to now are the metallic pens in their decorated cotton case. Wishi tape is something I haven’t come across before. Apparently it’s a traditional decorative Japanese tape made from rice paper. The tape certainly looks authentic but has been improved as it is more durable, being quite difficult to tear.The ideas book is a good idea for beginners as it gives them suggestions of how grandmothers everywhere would have used a scrapbook when they were small.The quality of this set is fantastic, even the box is made from thick card that will keep everything safe. A box big enough to store part completed projects for the next rainy day. The card in this scrapbook is thick at 250 gsm, to give an idea of how thick that is printing paper comes at 80-110 gsm thickness.This scrapbook and all its accessories from Gateway22 is well priced at £20.00, and would make a thoughtful present.

Lovely scrapbook set, would make a great present for anyone crafty of all ages. Good price too as you get lots of stuff with it.

This is a super starter set for anyone wanting to get into scrapbooking - or to give as a gift. Pretty gender neutral due to the colourways on the inside of the craft brown cardboard box .... so could be sent to anyone which is a nice touch as usually these sets are very feminine - but boys like scrapbooking too ! The contents is excellent quality and contains everything you need to get started - a lovely quality, black scrapbook with a black ribbon tie to close it - corner stickers to insert your pics and postcards, washi tape rolls (again very gender neutral), metallic pens (show up well on the black scrapbook pages) in a nice pencil case and instructions on how to start scrapbooking and what kinds of things to include (pretty basic stuff, but nice enough to have it in writing if you're stuck or new to the idea). Super value for money - it would make a lovely Christmas gift as its already presented nicely in the cardboard box. An easy five stars - I love it ! I'm also delighted to say that the pics included in the description are REALLY accurate - you get what you see !
