Don’t waste your money, fellow “dirty blondes”!
I’m one of those “dirty blondes” who has tried everything available to lighten my hair without resorting to a full-on bleach job. I started using the classic Clairol Sun-In to go blonder, & eventually, at least another dozen products (Dessange Gel Lightener has been the best) with fairly good success. This made me happy for at least 4 decades! Recently, I tried IGK Summertime because I’d never heard of it. I don’t want to be unkind, but this was the VERY worst product I’ve ever tried for a modest improvement of my “blondish” look. First, it didn’t lighten my hair at all; in fact, I think it made it look even darker! I suspect this was the result of heavy (though natural!) products such as lemon, oils, etc. Also, the bottle has an aerosol pump, not the usual hand pump (which is better for the environment). The end result was limp, dull hair with no shine whatsoever. I should have known that a no-peroxide product would not do the trick for my objective. And finally, the price is wa-ay too expensive $21 dollars is a lot for, primarily, a bottle of lemon juice. Thank you for trying IGK folks, but you need to go back to the lab & re-think your product!
