Daughter LOVES these
My daughter received a different sketch pad from the same brand from a friend for her birthday. She quickly used all the pages so I got her this one. She loves it and I like the smaller size because it's easier to bring in the car.I like that the stencils pop into place so they're easy to put away and organize. She duitifully puts the stencils away each night, which is great. In addition to the stencils, the pad also comes with a variety of stickers for accessories. Stickers include backpacks that aren't in the larger, more generic sketchpad set.I'm personally not really into fashion or doll and never have been, but I'm glad that my daughter enjoys drawing and coloring in this sketchpad.

Good set, with one pet peeve
I actually used an older book in this series to teach fashion design at my daughter's co-op class a few years ago, so I can vouch for these with a clear conscience. My class included kids of various skill levels, ages 4-12, and while obviously there were varying levels of success, all of them were engaged by the projects. One of the good features on this set was how inclusive it was. The books include 30 pages of drawing templates, 6 each of 5 different designs, 4 with preset hairstyles and 1 with no hair so you can draw your own. The features are the same on each model, but will work with any skin color, and we paired the project with a set of Colors of the World pencils, so we did end up with a nice variety of skin tones and hair colors. The models are all drawn with basic undergarments, which unfortunately do show through when you color them in, which is one of the downsides I have with them. Personally, I prefer the light board version of these, because you aren't dealing with lines where they don't make sense, but that requires a level of tracing skill that younger children don't have, where most of my students could manage the stencils, even the first graders. (The pre-k one did need help with the stencils.) The pages can be copied easily, but make sure you have it on 100% scaling or the stencils won't fit your copies. This particular set is designed for school styles, which is a very broad range. It includes long and short sleeve tops, long pants as well as shorts, skirts and dresses. My pet peeve on this is that while it contains stickers for bags and backpacks, it does not contain a single stencil for them. I know that those stencils exist, as my daughter has several of them from larger sets, but the fact that they were not included here, where obviously they are a huge part of the fashion scene for students, feels incomplete to me. My daughter was also commenting on the fact that it contains so many stickers of phone cases, but there's no stencil for custom designing your own, and again, what's school fashion in this day and age without phone cases? That's why the 4 star rating on this set. It would have made more sense if they'd left off something like the shorts or tank tops (which generally are not allowed at most schools) and included at least a few bags, backpacks, or phones.Otherwise, it's a nice, fairly complete collection, with styles that pair seamlessly and tons of options for mixing and matching as well as inspiration for designing your own beyond what is provided. It pairs well with other Fashion Angels books, and you might be well served using the bag stencils or light board clings from older sets here since this set is obviously missing them. Overall, it's a great gift idea for under $10 for any creative or fashion-minded girl between the ages of 5 and 15. Would recommend.

Fun stencil and sticker activity
This fashion angels school spirit sketch pad is such a fun set. This kit is such a fun way for kids to be creative and design. The set includes 4 different stencils - from clothes to accessories. There are also 2 pages of stickers - jewelry, hairclips, purses, and shoes. lastly, there are lots of pages to design and be creative. I like there there are a few pages with ideas and color swatches. There's even a color wheel page showing how colors can be complementary. Fun stencils kit for kits 6+.

Stencil
This booklet comes with different hairstyles and a few different girls than the other books. It's a smaller travel size. Very easy to use with some guidance. A great way to express creativity.

Better than I expected!
I hadn't noticed in the product photos, but this little book even includes a page on COLOR THEORY! It has a couple of pages of fabric swatches (just images, not actual fabric). I love how the stencils are meant to pop out, but also go back into the spiral.I was a little annoyed by the way the sticker pages are done, though. They're in sleeves (cool, stickers don't fall off, I guess?) so you either have to reach into the sleeve to get the stickers or... I don't know what their plan was there. What we did was leave the sleeve, but tear the sticker page out. Then I trimmed the little spiral bit off the top so that the sticker page would fit back inside the sleeve again. The entire thing is therefore pretty self contained. All you need is the colored pencils (or drawing utensil of your choice). This made for great creative time for my little family.
