This level, when set up properly, is one of the most accurate on the market and even surpasses the accuracy of many laser levels that cost much more. I am on my second Dewalt builders level, I donated the first one to an organization that could not afford one, it still operates accurately to this day (it is 12 years old). One word of advice, if at all possible set the level up in an area that is not in direct sunlight if it is hot out, that is the only thing that seems to affect the accuracy (i think it is because the entire level does not expand with the heat at the same time).
