This does exactly what it says. It is simple to use although you do need three ~250ml containers to dissolve the PH buffer powders (if you want to try and keep it accurate). The instructions are easy to follow and you can use it straight out of the box if needed. It has a detachable hook on the back (looks like a pocket clip) which I have attached some wire to and hang it on the edge of the water bucket I have had no issues with mine, it is not perfectly accurate but 'is good enough for government work'. There are six sachets of the PH buffer powder, so you have enough to make up a second round if required. PH buffer is easy to come by in any case. I use it to PH water for growing plants and it is doing the trick admirably. Almost went for one which was much more expensive but it also did some other tests which I didnt need and I am glad I stuck with this one. If I have any issues I will update but so far, so good.

Great item, I bought it for my craft beer brewing, I think it's as good as the much more expensive ones, I thought the ph. test colour display might be a gimmick but it works well when compared to the chart on the enclosed waterproof pamphlet, you have to calibrate it out of the box using one of each of the three powders included of which there are two packets of each and mixed with distilled water, but keep them mixes in separate jars to use again later, once calibrated the unit works perfect and accurate and includes temperature, it comes with batteries installed and a bonus a 10ml tub of electrode storage solution to keep the bulb moist, a bonus as the storage solution is very pricy, I highly recommend this item and great value at £16.99 price I paid.

It was a bit complex for use. I used it for a few times and it stopped working. It may be more useful to someone who is comfortable with ph meters but not for beginners. Thee few times I used it, it gave accurate readings.

I needed it to check hardness of water as in very hard water area and have water softeners Seems to work fine as long as calibrate it as per instructions, need 3 beakers to do that. Comes with 2 sets(3) of calibration sachets. In theory shouldn't need to recalibrate but wonder where get replacements if have to.

Didn’t expect to have to calibrate it before use. So I had to buy some distilled water and use the sachets that came with it to set three different values but once it was done it worked well. Instructions say it will need recalibrated each month.

Bought this as I now have multiple fish tanks and thought it would be quicker than the liquid drop tests as certain fist have different PH needs, so I know the PH of the water in each tank from using my test kits. Tried this straight out of the box and PH was way off (fish would be dead if that was the actual PH) used the calibration powders and tested again but still way off, put the tester back into the PH 7 calibration water and it was way off did the same with the 4 and 10 ph and way off again. I knew this wouldn't be 100% correct because of the price but the PH is off by 2 or 3 full points which in fishkeeping can be life or death for your fish. Packed back up and returned, will stick to the liquid drop tests.

An accurate way of testing your water. I use it for before and after testing for my distilled water distiller. I calibrate the pH tester about once a month to assure reliable readings. It is good quality at a very reasonable price . It is quite durable and easy to read. The manufacturer’ instructions should be followed to maintain its functionality.

Bis jetzt sehr zufrieden. Nach einiger Zeit mal kalibriert und hatte nur 0,1 ph Abweichung ausgeglichen. Also kann man gefühlt auch nur 1x im Jahr machen wenn überhaupt.

Es un medidor digital, que viene con una sonda alargada, con lo cual, al mismo tiempo que mide, sirve para remover la mezcla, agitarla, y asi que sea más homogénea. Te indica varios valores: EC (Electro conductividad), PPM (Partes por millón, en dos escalas, las más comunes 500 y 700), y CF (Factor de conductividad), también mide la temperatura de la solución. En definitiva, solo mide temperatura, y EC, ya que las otras 3 medidas, es un calculo del EC, pero que viene muy bien tenerlos, ya que según el tipo de nutrientes que se use, viene indicado en alguno de estas 4 unidades de medición, con lo cual, es importante que tenga estas escalas, para no tener que andar haciendo cálculos y poderse equivocar. Es fácil de usar, además aunque viene calibrado de fabrica, viene un botecito para calibrarlo, que es muy sencillo, de los más sencillos que he visto para calibrar. Funciona con pilas de botón, que están alojadas bajo el tapón superior. También la sonda, trae un segmento lleno de led, que se ilumina para indicar la medida, con lo cual, a parte de en pantalla, también lo tienes en la sonda. Es muy útil y necesario, para mantener un excelente crecimiento de las plantas en hidroponía.
