Works great in hangar to control aircraft engine heater. Cheapest solution I could find.

Hubs suddenly don't want to Find 4GLTE or Internet
Got 4 Hub 3s that have been in service for about a year, and I just got a 4th to replace 1 that I thought was bad. The random drop off and restarting was annoying, but not a killer. Now they drop and don't restart. It used to be that I'd get a green status light, followed shortly by a green 4GLTE light, and finally get a blue solid Internet light. Now I'll restart the failed unit and get a green status light, and zero else. 4 or 5 restarts and I MIGHT get a 4GLTE light, but no Internet light. My new one is a paperweight. Green status light and nothing else. Of course, I get no data from the temperature sensors installed around the facility. The hubs work great WHEN/IF they work. Never got a reply from Customer Service.

NOT what it seems
I had the unfortunate experience of having a water leak when YoLink’s cloud went down. The shutoff valve was physically inaccessible but controlled by a YoLink valve controller. Now, I thought I would be fully insulated from any ill effects of a cloud solution because I had purchased their LOCAL HUB with Matter and LOCAL API enabled. As it turns out, EVEN LOCAL PROTOCOLS require an active cloud connection to run unless ALL of your devices are within their ecosystem. So, unless you plan on ditching everything you already own for smart home and buying only their stuff (and even then it would be stupid); you’re just going to end up with a brick at some point.
