It's difficult to pick highlights, as the level of musicianship from the four was high as ever but unexpected, quirky numbers such as John and Flea's rendition of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" stand out as memorable euphoric moments. Sadly, the only pre-Californication songs were old favourites "Under the Bridge" and "Give it Away", both sounding fresh despite being 13 years old.Live in Hyde Park is definitely a worthy addition to any record collection. It's amazing that a band in their third decade of success can release theirfull debut live album, but the Chili Peppers prove that they've still got it (now, more than ever) and will be around for a very long time to come. --David Trueman

A must have.
If you have all the studio albums you need this in your life. The John Frusciante solos are mesmerizing, especially the dark and edgy sound of 'Don't forget me', the awesome intro in to 'Can't Stop' and the brilliant jam at the end of 'By the Way'.

How live music should be
RHCP live, and in particular Flea and John Frusciante jamming together, is as good as music gets. I just wish they'd released more official live stuff with the same lineup.

Most of the songs you would expect are here. Good sound and the jamming is excellent. How I like to think of the Chilli Peppers.

Great cd! It's obviously a must have for any Chili Peppers fan. I think most would agree that 2002-2004 was an excellent time for RHCP and Hyde Park is their legendary concert next to Slane Castle. I would be careful who you buy this from just because it is an import cd. It was, to my knowledge, never printed in the US. I bought it second hand from a "USA" store and it arrived in a Royal Airmail package... it actually came from England, so I was lied to. But thankfully it still works in my Macbook (and therefore should play fine in my car). It's definitely worth the money. It's a great live album and it's nice to have something a little more rare to add to my RHCP collection.

Pour varier mes plaisirs musicaux, rythmés aux humeurs, je trouve que ce live est très agréable à écouter.Je le conseille fortement pour ceux qui voulait une synthèse en live.Et le live, ca part comme des petits pains avec eux.
