It's 60% Poly! Safe, Effective & Easy To Use!
The label says Black Algaecide and that's fair but it is actually a 60% poly product which is an algaecide that prevents more than kills most algae. It's the only algae product I'll use. No copper staining or foaming.The price of Poly60% has been inching up for quite a while so when I saw this one for half the price of other 60%ers I grabbed it & growled!. Because of the price on Prime Days it was a great value...otherwise it's just a good product at a rather hefty price. Been doing our pool for more than 50ys. YIKES!

works good use FULL dose on initial application
Black Algae on pool walls is very stubborn this pool Mate Black Algecide works BUT BUT BUT you need to do everything such as clean filter, adjust pool chemistry and scrub algae I purchase two quarts for my 11000 gallon pool because the first FULL quart application put a dent in it but didn't completely rid it...which is a common scenario with black algae

Don't waste your money
This is nonsense it doesn't work. Sure you'll be a fool like me and waste your money on 2 bottles of it and it will get rid of it, for a little while. But guess what when you finish patting yourself on the back for doing it yourself you'll see the black algae come back with a vengeance a few weeks later. Im sure the manufacturer might say you need to use it for longer but that's the point isnt it? Hook you on those results and then make you buy a bottle every month. Oh and it will discolor your pool plaster be warned. Stay away from this stuff

CLEAN CLEAR POOL WATER
I PUT THIS PRODUCT IN MY POOL EXPECTING TO SEE RESULTS THE NEXT DAY..I DID NOT SEE RESULTS AS A MATER OF FACT I SAW TWO NEW FORMS , YELLOW & GREEN SO I ORDERED ANOTHER BRAND THAT STATED THEY KILL ALL THREE, BLACK, YELLOW & GREEN. I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT WORKED AFTER I APPLY THIS TO MY POOL. MY ORDER WILL ARRIVE 5/12/26. SIT TIGHT TIL YOU HEAR BACK FROM ME...JH

This stuff is the bomb, had severe black algae issues, pool steps were solid black. Within two weeks, everything was white again great product.
