Absolutely outstanding workmanship, especially for the price!
An important rule to remember: When it comes to adding anything to your optical path in astronomy, don't shop "on the cheap". You will be sorely disappointed with the results. If you can afford a Televue, do it. If not, the Celestron Luminos is the best bang you can get for your buck. 4 elements. This thing is not only gorgeous for visual observation, but it's outstanding for astrophotography. Strongly recommended.

Great purchase
Solid, not too heavy. And could get focus on a nextstar slt 130 with astro camera without issue. Have to be careful though, looking at Jupiter with this and an eyepeice was quite bright, needed to use a filter. However I so suffer from light sensitivity, so probably not an issue for others

Perfect.
Truly what I wanted. Have an 8 inch Dobsonian and a 28mm deep view lens, great light capture but always wished I could get in closers with a 2 inch eyepiece. The 1.25 isn't as enjoyable for me.. of course I was worried about losing light and increasing distortion as those of you reading this are too I'm sure... let me put you at ease, this is amazing. Truly amazing. Turned it on onions belt and got perfect views of the nebs on the sword. Great close ups of jupiter, perfect clarity, perfect flattening across the lens with no awkward edge distortion. I was really happy with tonight's stargazing and this has definitely been the purchase I hoped it would be. If your on the fence, buy it. If your not even in the market for thos.. buy it. Just buy it. You won't be dissapointed.

Good build quality. Not heavy. Good optics.
I bought the celestron 2.5x barlow to do some planetary work. I looked over a number of reviews and have to disagree with them on several points. Weight - the barlow is not heavy. weight is similar to a typical eyepiece if not lighter. Build quality - quality is quite acceptable. I would call it good. Exterior - is polished, metal with a rubber friction ring for grip and handling. I prefer a dark exterior but that is just my preference. Style - fits in with the other Celestron Luminos equipment. I would rather a simpler style but this is what is available. Optically - acceptable, clear images, not distorted. The telescope, eyepiece and equipment you use with this will certainly factor in to the optical performance. I am using a high quality triplet refractor with good 2" eyepieces. There are better barlow lenses out there but at a higher price point. So in summary, At this price (i got a discount) i consider it a very good buy, and certainly acceptable for my uses.

Nice Barlow no regrets in buying it.
Great quality for the price. Low profile with no issues in bringing all my eyepieces into focus. No noticeable reduction in image sharpness and brightness when Barlow used. Very satisfied.

Looking through the lens in
Well I’m not enjoying it so far because the moon is to big in that lens and I have yet to view Saturn or Jupiter, can’t seem to find them.

Great product and great seller.
Product arrived a day in advance!!!! High quality build . I would use it tonight, but we have cloudy skies. This 2" BARLOW will help me with my telescope eye fatigue.

Very well made nice bit of kit
I have the Barlow to be great, it’s a slightly lighter colour to the anodisation than the other luminous eye pieces I’m guessing to help differentiate that it’s a Barlow. Would buy again.

Bon grossissement
Monté sur mon skywatcher 200 /1000. Le rendu est très bon. Par contre attention au poids si vous avez des gros objectif en plus.

Lightweight and Powerful – A Great 2.5x Barlow Upgrade
The Celestron Luminos 2.5x Barlow Lens delivers solid performance in a compact, relatively lightweight design. It provides a clean 2.5x magnification boost with sharp, bright images and minimal distortion with my Celestron Nexstar 8SE Evolution Telescope and Luminous 23mm & 19mm Eyepieces, The build feels sturdy and the dual thumbscrews keep everything secure. Overall, it’s a reliable and convenient addition for improving planetary and lunar viewing without adding much bulk.

Excellent quality!
This barlow is better quality than expected. Mechanically speaking, it is very solidly made and has an interesting appearance. Optically, it is superb with flawless coatings, excellent resolution, and a completely flat field with edge to edge sharpness while using any sized eyepiece with it. It is really light weight and not overly large either. Better quality than a Meade series 4000 2x barlow that it replaced. I am completely satisfied with this barlow. Highly recommended!
