Very nice sleep gin and a good price

As an expert flavoured gin drinker I know a gorgeous gin when I taste one, and this Gordon's Sloe Gin is easily in my top three. It's VERY easy drinking - I especially like it in the summer but I'll happily take it all year round. At 26% alcohol, the gin content is an appropriate level to drink it neat - no mixers necessary - It's wonderfully smooth, and the flavour is divine. I can't get enough of it - full marks!

If you've never tried sloe gin or feel you have to have it in your drinks cupboard to serve to others, buy this. You won't go wrong with it and the type of guests who may turn their nose up at it you probably don't really want to know anyway!Gin production has massively increased in recent years to the extent that it's become ubiquitous and frankly snobbish. Every gin consumer has their own particular favourite which they'll try to justify and pad out with references to their favourite artisanal tonic water. Everyone has an opinion (which they're quite entitled to have!) but many less mass-produced gins have a price point far higher than this.This Gordons product is distinctly middle-of-the road, with all of the characteristic fruitiness and tartness you'd expect, only a bit sweeter than other less mass-produced sloe gins. You'll only notice this if you routinely sample other brands and develop a preference for any particular one.Give it a go. If you like it, either stick with it, find new ways to serve it or expand your palate and try some other brands. Then you can articulate to your friends and family why you prefer those over this.Hey, you've suddenly become a brand aficionado!

One of the better sloe gins.

I bought this bottle of Sloe gin by Gordon's for Christmas for my dad as he loves Sloe gin.He said to me the taste was fantastic and then proceeded to drink far too much of it as he was enjoying it so much.It has a strong smell to it with a nice sweet and sour taste. I'm not into gin like that, but really thought this one stood out and would buy again.You know it's great quality as it's made by Gordon's, who also make great value gin.

I have seen some negative reviews on the internet for this, and cannot understand why. People on blogs and aficionados sites criticise it for being "too flowery" and "too floral and perfumey", and frankly, I can't see how this would be a bad thing for a drink which is supposed to have much flavour from plants.I am admittedly not a connoisseur, being French and not having a very long experience of this type of drink, but all I can say is that we loved it.It is indeed very flavourful, with a very rich and varied array of tastes and aftertastes which makes for a satisfying experience, which lasts in the mouth for a while.It is rather sweet, but not too much.It has a certain edge of bitterness, but thankfully not much of one, just enough to make it interesting, but not so that it makes it raspy.Altogether enjoyable, and a very good buy at that price from Amazon

Der Sloe Gin von Gordon's kann sich durchaus mit dem Plymouth Sloe messen. Der Gordons hat ne kräftigere Gin-Note im Geschmack, der Plymouth ist etwas süßer. Es kommt also nur drauf an, was man eher mag: herb-fruchtig-süß oder nur fruchtig-süß. Kann den Gordon's empfehlen für Kenner des Sloe Gin.Sloe Gin eignet sich als kleiner Likör für die kalten Tage, da er den Magen angenehm wärmt. Ebenfalls kann man damit Desserts aromatisieren, z. B. zu Eiscreme schmeckt er lecker. Im Mix mit einem guten Tonic Water ist es mal eine andere Variante des Gin Tonic. Ebenfalls mit Bitterlemon zu empfehlen.

Lo utilizzerei come un vino dolce o come un digestivo leggero, molto buono, in famiglia lo abbiamo apprezzato tutti!! Regalo diverso dal solito, consigliato!
