If you're in the market for a thumb grip for the A7Cii, this is a perfect fit and it provides a cold shoe.There are cheaper options but they are not as well designed or as good a fit. Highly recommend.

I got this because the Sony has always been an awkward camera to hold for those with larger hands. This addition allows me to have a better, more secure hold.The thumb grip is made of black anodised metal and a rubberised pad on the bottom. Like with other SmallRig products, the anodisation is decently done and there are no banding or discolouration. The metal used is fairly light weight which doesn't add much to the total camera weight.The fitment on this is perfect, the rubberised pad is used as a gasket to the fitment and this allows it to have a tight, sticky fit which is nice to see. There is no wobble to it. This has made the camera much more handleable and has also made it easier to grip and hold still. This has actually helped with slow shutter speed photos.Overall, for £20.90, you are getting a good quality product which makes my expensive camera a little more useable. Worth the money in my opinion. 5/5!

The SMALLRIG Thumb Grip and hot shoe cover arrived professionally packed in a branded cardboard box.In the box you get the main grip, a shutter release button and a short instruction leaflet.The unit is finished to the usual Smallrig high quality and machining is of premier quality.The thumb grip slots into the hot shoe recess firmly and adds a nice comfortable thumb rest while also functioning as a protector for the hot shoe contacts.The inclusion of a press fit shutter release button adds another functional yet stylish upgrade to your camera.Quite expensive but certainly adds additional function and style to your Sony A7.

In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ The snug fit into the hot shoe means there's no give or play; for a thumb grip, that would be a total dealbreaker, so it's good that it fits so solidly. I can hold the camera confidently one-handed with more stability than before.+ The addition of a cold shoe mount to replace the hot shoe you're losing is a great idea.+ The price of just over £20 is perfectly reasonable for the solid quality of the grip.Things I didn't like:- Nothing in particular. You do lose hot shoe functionality, but I expected that.Do I recommend it?Yes, absolutely. The firm fit allows me to use the camera one-handed with confidence.

Given the similarity of the camera body, I ordered this in the hope that it would also fit the new ZV-E10 II, and I'm happy to say it does.It fits the cold shoe snugly, with no wiggle and provides a very stable thumb support on the back of the camera, making it more comfortable and secure when carrying in one hand.

Functionality wise it is excellent.But it is too tight to pull out when needed.Already damaged my new camera.Not recommended for people who uses speedlight from time to time.
