Amazing, reliable recall when used appropriately. 1000% recommended.
Here’s the revised version with the saltwater/ocean durability note added: I was originally hesitant to buy an e-collar because I thought of it as a “shock collar” and worried it might be inhumane. After reading reviews and doing more research, I better understood that it can be used as a communication and recall training tool when paired with positive reinforcement. My dog is a little over one year old, a Greyhound/Doberman mix, and he loves running in a shallow saltwater low-tide beach area where other dogs play off leash. At first I used a long leash, but it was impractical, so I became determined to improve his recall. I started by having him wear the collar around the house without using correction. I would beep it, call his name, and reward him with his favorite high-value treat, shredded boiled chicken, every single time he came back. The beeping stops after holding the button for a few seconds. It’s crucial to keep pushing and holding the button repeatedly every few seconds so the beeping is continuous until his comes all the way back. Once he understood that, I started using only the beep (no vocal command) and rewarding him 100% of the time. Then we practiced in the yard, then at the dog park with more distractions. Most of the training was positive reinforcement. The beep became his cue that something great was waiting for him. After about a week or two, he occasionally ignored the beep in higher-excitement situations, so I introduced vibration at the lowest setting and slowly increased it only until I saw a response. The vibration helped snap him out of whatever he was focused on, then I followed with the beep, recall, and reward. I have only used the shock feature a few times, and only at the lowest effective setting. My dog is sensitive, so I started extremely low and only needed level 3 or 4 out of 99. I used it only for serious situations, like fixating aggressively on a cat through a fence, paired with a firm “no,” then immediately followed by recall and reward. Now, if I say “no” around a cat or wildlife, he usually stops and comes back without needing correction. After a few weeks of consistent training, I was able to bring him to the beach off leash with reliable recall. We have gone many times now, and he comes back from hundreds of feet away when he hears the beep. Most of the time I do not need vibration at all, and I almost never need correction. I still always carry high-value treats and reward him well. The collar has also held up well in saltwater so far. My dog fully submerges it in the ocean, rolls in the sand, and plays hard. I always make sure the charging port plug is fully closed before we go in the water. After the beach, I rinse it thoroughly with fresh water, then rinse it again when we get home and hang it outside to dry in the sun. The speaker for the beep can get clogged with sand and water, so sometimes I cannot hear it clearly when he is close by, but it still seems loud enough on his neck because he has no issue responding to it. This collar has been life-changing for my dog’s freedom, safety, and our communication. It gave me a way to reliably recall him while still letting him enjoy running and playing. Used responsibly, patiently, and with positive reinforcement, this is an incredible tool and absolutely worth the money. Never use the device when you’re frustrated. The key is positive reinforcement with small, low power vibrations or shock corrections. As additional assurance, I pair this ecollar with the Tractiv GPS Tracker (which is also waterproof) to be able to confidently find him if he ever does run away. But his recall is so good I think that’s highly unlikely.

Perfect for the price!
I’ve been using an E-collar for my dog for years for recall as well as basic training. For this price you really can’t get any better. The charge is incredible, I’ve used this for MONTHS and it hasn’t died on me once. The remote is straight forward and easy to control and I love that there is such a wide range if you ever do need to use the shock mode. It’s great quality at a reasonable price. My dog is great and we really only use the vibration and beep mode and both are enough to get her attention. If you know how to use it this is a great training tool!

Behavior improvement in the first day
This has been a game changer with my 7 month old puppy. He’s a very hyper mini Aussie and boxer mix and has issues with jumping, playing too rough with my cat and not listening to. So far the beep and vibration modes are a game changer. I won’t use the shock mode unless I absolutely have to. We’ve had the collar for about a week now and so far I’m seeing improvements. Battery life seems ok. I charge both the collar and remote while I sleep, collar fits well. I should’ve bought this sooner

Shock attachment is not low profile. Very obviously a shock collar
Works as described. I wish the shock buttons had some raised bumps to help you distinguish in a pinch the difference between the shock button and the vibrate button. I accidentally shocked my dog versus beeping her and felt terrible. I have to always look down at the remote for a few seconds to remember which one is the vibrate versus sound versus shock. Now this may be my own ignorance/incompetency, but having experienced this for a while I still am not getting that good at it! I definitely don’t wanna shock my dog (unless absolutely necessary) so I wish the shock button was in an entirely different location and was a different feel than the vibrate or beep. Also, the reason it’s getting a 4 star is because the attachment to the collar is pretty noticeable and sits far out on my dog’s neck making it look uncomfortable. I am going to be investing in another shock collar that is very low profile as I have seen some friends have on their dogs. Those I didn’t even know were shock collars. The pros of this collar are the battery last forever and everything functions really well. I do appreciate the ease of charging both the collar and the remote control just like a cell phone. And it has various adjustments on the strength of vibration and shock which is really good. It does have the two channels if you have another dog that you need to control which is a cool aspect.

Very effective and easy to use.
I live in NW Montana and bought this training collar mostly to stop my young dog, Beemer, from barking at and/or chasing deer that lived here before I built my house and live here with me now on my 20 acre property. I also put out water in a tub for the deer, birds and ground squirrels because there isn't a water source of any kind close by. I often let Beemer out for long periods of time so he can get plenty of exercise running and exploring. Unfortunately, he was scaring the deer, playing in their water tub and getting muddy while splashing the water out and leaving what was left muddy. This collar is well designed and constructed, easy to use, has great range and the 3 functions (beep, vibrate or shock) can be easily tailored to the appropriate level for the pet and purpose. I have found it to be very effective in breaking some of Beemer's bad habits that would have otherwise been almost impossible to do or would have taken much longer. Now I can watch him from a window as he explores the area and plays with sticks he finds on the ground. It didn't take long for me to catch him in the act and then use one of the functions to stop him in his tracks and come back to the house. Beemer has stopped barking at and/or chasing the local deer. He also won't go near the water tub. I have seen him lying on the pavement and watching the deer graze not very far away. Some of the deer still won't come around while he's out, but several of them have decided that he is not a threat and will graze with him visibly present. If he stands up, they will probably be alarmed, but if I'm watching, I can give him a quick beep or vibration and he will immediately turn around and walk back to the house. I believe at least some of the deer and Beemer will eventually be able to be in the same area without any alarm and they and the other animals now have a reliable source of water...at least until the ice and snow cause it to freeze. Another benefit of the collar demonstrated itself this morning as I was at my kitchen window. Beemer was playing with a stick on the concrete apron in front of the garage when he suddenly broke into a full-speed run with the hair on his back standing straight up. I immediately pulled the remote out of my shirt pocket as I looked ahead of Beemer to see what he was chasing and saw that he was quickly gaining ground on a resident fox that I have seen many times. I immediately started pressing the vibration and shock buttons as he disappeared into the woods out of sight. Beemer is pretty strong-willed and I was concerned that I might not be able to stop him, but a couple of seconds later he emerged from the woods and was trotting back toward the house with the fox, now the pursuer, following him. But the fox was apparently confused when Beemer suddenly turned and started running back toward home and initially decided to chase him. But then, as if giving the situation more thought, it wisely peeled off and scampered back into the woods toward safety. Beemer (a mixed Golden/Lab) is faster, larger and stronger than the fox. I have no doubt that Beemer would have caught up with the fox since, in just seconds, he was only inches from the fox's tail when I pulled the remote from my pocket. The fox would have just as surely fought back since he would literally be fighting for his life. If Beemer had not been wearing the collar and I had not been standing at the window, I believe the likely result would have been a dead fox and a seriously lacerated dog that would have spent some painful time with a vet this morning. I had previously realized that the collar could possibly be used as a safety device to remove a threat in an emergency. Beemer has always turned and ran toward home immediately after being alerted, regardless of which function I used and there may be times when that propensity would be important.

Buy it !!! Best investment for training
We bought 2 of these for our new rescues. American Lab and Pitbull. These were a lifesaver when I was going through breast cancer. I couldn’t hold a leash, but my husband taught them to listen after he hit just the beeps button. In the beginning we had to use the vibration button for both sometimes….. but now just the beeps works. We still have to use the vibration one with the Lab sometimes , but the Pit only have to use the beeps. We are on 2 acres so we have walked them off the leash around the perimeter of our yard, so they know their limits. I walk them around perimeter about 6 times a day and then they wrestle and chase one another 4 times a day. After just a few weeks of the same routine they know where they can and can’t go. We can let them out without having to watch them like hawks. Best thing we have ever purchased !!!

Did not last long
I did really like this training collar, it was wonderful for training our dog but we purchased this in April and now after 6 months it has stopped working at the most inconvenient time. Now we are without a training collar.

Great quality and affordable
Sturdy, holds battery very well, clear instructions, easy to use! I was able to get my 1 year old puppy off of an outside lead with the help of commands and this collar, in only 5 days! The commands on their own were not working when the stray cat would come creeping around. This has worked! I am very satisfied with the results, although consistently working with her over the last several months gave her a head start. 😀

I have owned the product for 1 month and its only needed 1 charge
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I've been using the Bousnic Dog Shock Collar for a month now, and I am thoroughly impressed by its performance and features. One of the standout qualities of this collar is its exceptional battery life. I've been able to use it daily for an entire month on just a single charge, which speaks volumes about its efficiency and longevity. The collar offers a wide range of functionalities that cater to various training needs. With 99 levels of shock intensity, I appreciate the flexibility it provides. Although I've never had to go beyond level 8, having the option to fine-tune the intensity is a great feature for different dog personalities and training situations. Additionally, the beep and vibrate functions have proven to be highly effective alternatives to the shock feature. It's wonderful to have multiple options to suit my dog's response and sensitivity. What truly amazed me is the collar's remarkable reach. I once had to correct my dog's behavior from a whopping 1km away, and the shock still worked flawlessly. This kind of range is a game-changer, especially for outdoor activities and off-leash training. The collar's durability and build quality also deserve a mention. Despite my dog's rough play and occasional scratching, the collar has held up remarkably well. It's evident that Bousnic has put in the effort to design a reliable and sturdy product. In conclusion, the Bousnic Dog Shock Collar has proven to be an invaluable training tool for me and my furry friend. The extended battery life, versatile functions, and impressive range make it a standout choice for any dog owner looking to enhance their training efforts. I wholeheartedly recommend this collar to fellow pet parents seeking a high-quality and effective training solution.

GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT COMPANY TO DEAL WITH
Pete Bauer Canada The first Bousnic Dog Shock Collar I purchased had a minor problem which can happen with any electronic device. For me the most important factor is how the manufacturer rectifies the problem. First thing I did was contact Bousnic and I got my answer back in about 12 hours which was in my opinion super fast. They asked me to make sure it was paired and on Channel 1so I paired and made sure it was on channel 1 and the problem persisted (INTERMITTENT CONTACT). I mentioned to them that when charging the remote transmitter I had to wiggle the USB connection periodically to obtain full charge. The very next day I got a message back that they were going to warranty the product and gave me 2 options on how to replace it of which both options were more than suitable, very simple at no cost to me. It took approximately 4 days for the entire replacement and return of funds and in my books you can’t beat that, this company is completely honorable I give them 1000 plus******. The new collar works perfectly, easy to set up and even easier to operate. I have an 8 month old Rottweiler and he is a handful for my wife and I who are age 75 and 80. We would have major problems controlling our pup without the Bousnic shock collar and we only use the vibration mode at 8, we have never had the need to use the shock nor the Beep mode, that’s how well it works. Another amazing factor is that the receiver is very small and really comfortable for the dog. Not much more I can say other than I highly recommend this product with no reservations whatsoever, a really great company to deal with and a really great product.

Units fail withing 4 months
This is the 2nd identical unit for this item. The reason for purchasing a 2nd unit is because the 1st one fail after 6 months of sporadic use. Now this 2nd unit has failed within less than 4 months. I will not recommend or purchase this product again.
