Great WiFi7 router. Easy setup with secondary Mesh unit. Solved my network issues handling (10) video security cameras, along with (3) smart TVs, laptops, desktops, and mobile units.

Very disappointed in product, customer service and trying to get it repaired. This is a 2 unit setup and they couldn't talk to each other 50 ft. down a hallway. Yellow light continuously came on and had to reset everything, it would come back again a few days later.ASUS said they would have to repair the 2nd unit and it would take a few weeks, they would not send me a loner in the meantime.Hard to communicate with tech support always having to be handed off to someone else.I would never go with their products.Ended up dusting off my old Deco unit, simple and works flawlessly.

I upgraded from AX6600 three mesh nodes to the BE14000. This system is very strong . With MLO the mesh signal does not cut in half anymore.Blazing fast and powerful with backhaul . 2 nodes more than enough .Being ASUS router long timer I can say ASUS mastered the mesh systems.I also checked the binding functions and I can assign my devices to any mesh node I prefer and balance traffic.ASUS BE14000 excellent router .Upgrade firmware immediately to get the best performance.

It works great and was not too difficult to setup. However, I bought the “used like new” and it did not behave as described in the setup instructions/app. My daughter found and pressed the reset button on the bottom of both units then the setup was straight forward. Of course there was no mention of that in the instructions for new units.

I got this system mainly for the coverage and speed, but what caught me off guard was how smoooooth the setup was. Opened the box, plugged it into the modem, opened the app - All done. I’m not super technical, but once I dug into the settings, I found a ton of stuff in there for if you want to customize every little setting. I’ve got different networks set up for my office and a guest WIFi for when friends come over. Signal’s strong all over the house, and I haven’t had to reboot or troubleshoot anything since. For something this advanced, it’s way more user-friendly than I expected.

Flashed the latest OpenWrt when I got this, which was 25.12.4. Process was straightforward.Needs a workaround to enable 6ghz band, but that's an OpenWrt issue.Stability is solid.Signal seems better than the Banana Pi R4 that I used previously.

I decided to replace my aging Netgear Nighthawk router with the ASUS ZenWiFi BT8 mesh router (one router and one node). The units were packaged very well and made a great first impression.Unfortunately, that’s where the positive experience ended. The first step of the setup appeared to go as expected, with the blue indicator lights illuminating on both units. However, no matter what I tried, I could not get the setup process to move beyond that first step.After spending 15–20 minutes troubleshooting on my own, I called the ASUS technical support number included in the packaging. I then spent approximately 45–60 minutes working with the technician, but they were also unable to get the system past the initial setup. They determined it was likely a hardware problem, issued a case number, and offered to process an RMA replacement.At that point, I decided it was easier to return the router for a full refund rather than go through the replacement process. I’ll be staying with my Netgear equipment.

I ended up having to by 2 more Mesh satellites to get coverage, and then it still has issues (but more software than hardware). ASUS seems happy with their antenna design; I don't think they tested it in a real-world way.In my opinion, ASUS software really lets down the whole product line. I wrote about the lack of software for their coolers. Unless, of course, you wish to run the incredibly bloated Armoury Crate.My setup. The main BT8 unit (set up as an Access Point) is in the basement close to where Nextlife fibre optic cable (1G up-down) comes in. From there to my server (Linux-driven for web/email/media). Immediately above is the Living Room. so about 15 feet direct line between devices. I've yet to see the Living Room BT8 connect directly to the Home BT8. These are standard wooden floors, nothing metal/metalic between them.This posting was made from my PC that sits in what's labelled "Master Bedroom". My PC is hooked up to the BT8 using Ethernet. The entire time writing this message, the BT8 is shown as " offline", even though it was working perfectly.So once again, ASUS has created really solid and good hardware; unfortunately, their software is totally under-par. Which is a shame, because hardware like this deserves good software.Before this setup, I was using a similar setup using the AX series from ASUS. That series actually had software that worked, no issues over the 4 years I used that setup.The attached video shows a speed test while the BT8 is shown as "off-line". How stupid is that?

Great system, moving from an Orbi RBK852 system that we've had for a while, but struggled with reliable hand-off of my iPhone as well as some dead zones. System was a bit laggy and unreliable in the beginning as in some of the other reviews. That said, once we got the ethernet backhaul connected (home is wired with cat5E) in a start topology (series would probably be fine as well), turned on ethernet backhaul mode on, and QoS for gaming or work from home, the system has been great, reliable, with good speeds, connection, and reasonable range. We have a total of 4 of these units to cover our home. App is easy to use, and web interface has oodles of configuration options for pro users. Strongly recommend, specially for those comfortable with network tech (or has a friend who is)
