We bought this for my wife's renault zoe, we have a large back garden bot no driveway, she's able to park right beside our back gate and run the cable over the fence due to the length, the charger works great and seems fairly efficient in terms of electricity consumption. It's putting roughly 1.7 to 1.9kw into the cars battery per hour, charging overnight shes easily able to achieve a 40 to 50% charge. This is considerably cheaper than using public fast chargers and so will very quickly pay its self off.The cable length is just under 15m including the charging unit, the charging unit seems to be very well constructed and solid, its also smaller than i imagined. Simply plug in the charger to your socket, then connect to your car and it's done, very simple.Highly recommend.

Very well made and meets all of the required standards for EV charging. I have used this a lot while waiting for a fast charger to be installed. Easy to use and no sign of heating in the plug, socket or main unit - I am therefore comfortable to leave it for charging for several hours. Some people have stated that the zip on the bag broke but providing that you don't try to force the cable into the bag, it is strong enough to last for years. I fully recommend this product because it is good value for money and high quality.

Perfect, works as it should, charges my car over night, charges as fast as 2.2kwh should and is easy to use.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered the Ice Blue with a cable length of 8m. Build quality is excellent and the charging speed is perfect for slow A/C charging up to 100%, thus not shortening the battery life. Fast Charging the battery should only go up to 80-90% but this is perfect for topping up.Ease of installation was ok. I just wish the .85m cable at the 3-pin plug end was a little longer. As generally, 3-pin sockets are at floor level and so, the charging box is upside down in my home and had to be secured with 10mm round cable clips, as there is only one screw fixing hole (my video clip rotated for ease of viewing). Otherwise, an excellent piece of kit.Photo shows the power output in kWh and cost per kWh. This is the total of the charger and other small household devices. And a brief video showing the charger working.Dropped a star for shortness of cable at 3-pin plug end and also for having just one screw fixing hole.

The standard charger that came with car was a couple of meters too short.You are not meant to use an extension lead so purchased this in 8 meter length and now reaches and works perfectly and looks and feels well made and durable

Excellent had bough other model but kept tripping my socket so read about this and purchased its bit slower but works great and it’s only 10amps I bought this as can use at my holiday lodge when up there and it works great I do have Ohme house charger fitted outside but this is worth buying and cable 15 metres plenty movement great charger

So, you ready for a little ramble? Picked up my first EV, just over five hours by train to Northampton, a much better return journey in the new toy despite hitting Birmingham mid afternoon! Topped up the battery and inspected the plumbing at a McDonalds, to hell with what they call food! Arrived home, went to plug into the 3 pin socket by the front door....... Oh dear, no 'granny charger'!! Just a type 2 cable. It's late by this time, order very soon for delivery tomorrow was looming! I chose this charger for being the least expensive offering with 8m cable, as a make do until the outside charger is installed.It duly arrived early afternoon the next day, plugged it in and started charging..... But car screen kept saying cable unplugged - it wasn't, or didn't seem to be. BUT! There are two rubber cover caps in the charging port, I will forgive myself for not realising that it is necessary on my little EV toy to remove both, plug in the charger, and then wiggle the DC charging cover back in place! Since then it has worked perfectly :-)It seems that more and more EV's are being supplied without a 'granny charger' whereas a few years ago it was the norm - just little heads up for other newbies like me.... Part of the stress of buying was how much power? Many others are rated more than the 2.3kw offered here, turns out 2.3kw/10 amp is the most we should use here in UK.Ramble over, since working things out, it has performed perfectly for almost a week, proper outside charger being installed three days hence. Very glad I have this little thingy though, always good if visiting friends who don't have charging facility.
