Great for socks!
I make socks, a LOT of socks! So happy to have found these tiny circulars so I don't have to work around DPNs anymore. They are a bit challenging to get used too, just because of their size. But once your fingers and method have adapted, you can really fly along with your knitting.

Small
I thought it would be too mall to work with but once you get the hang of this you just fly by would buy these again

Nice needles
9 inch circular for socks, it works. I'm just to the toe decrease so I'm not sure how they will work for that.

Bought for socks
I bought these for socks because my bamboo 9” didn’t seem to slide very well. I like the metal better in that respect but I have to change to 2 circ needle method to finish the toe. The bamboo ones have shorter tips than these and allowed me to finish the complete sock, although it was a tight finish. All in all though I like this needle as the yarn slides nicely and the cable is awesome.

DON'T HESITATE!! BUY THESE NEEDLES *N*O*W*
OH MA GOODNESS! I LOVE these needles!I was hesitant because of the reviews I'd seen with iffy or bad results but they work so, so well for me. The first little while was difficult but after some getting used to, my hands stopped cramping and I was zoooming along! I finished my very first pair of socks in just one week, whereas with DPNs only got halfway through one sock in 2 years!! When it comes to the heel flap, I simply transfer half of my stitches onto a scrap yarn or needle of the same size, and work in rows on the set of 9 inches. I also work the toe on the circulars, and though it does get tight at the end, it is SO doable, and worth it for the speed and ease!!Now excuse me while I go buy another set ;)

Size 3, 9" circular
The media could not be loaded. The first row on these size 3 circulars is a nightmare! After a few rounds however, it becomes so much easier to use than the typical 4 needle round work. Especially as I have a horrible tendency to whip out the wrong needle when switching to the next working needle. With circulars there is no accidentally yanking out the wrong needle. Phew! Less time picking up stitches for me.With worsted weight, I have 30sts, working a rib stitch cuff for an 8 year old. I would have trouble trying to join any fewer stitches in a round on these. I think the max stitches (I would be comfortable working) in worsted weight would be approximately 90.Tiny little needles took me 9 rounds to get accustomed to using. I don't remember precisely what knitting style I have, but I know it isn't 'throw-over'. My tension seems standard, meaning I rarely have to adjust anything when using a pattern.I love the shorter ChiaoGoo needles for my hEDS, arthritic hands. Fewer dislocations and less stiffness compared to the exaggerated movements necessary with standard straight needles. I only use standard straight needles when I can't possibly figure out a way to adapt whatever project to my ChiaoGoo RedLace set. So if you know what I'm talking about with the stiff, magically dislocating fingers, find yourself a RedLace set, you'll love them!
