best knife around , mercer or victoria nox - chef
the mercer is a decent knife for chefs . i use this most day it slices thinly through tomato and vegetablesobviously you dont want this for carving meatfor prepping for the day ahead everyday the mercer has never let me downi would perhaps buy a knife wrap to keep your knifes away from everyone elses. as you dont want this one cluttering around the drawer as it will blunt iti give this knife a 8/10 only because its cheap and there are better much more expensive knifes . but for the money . you wont find better.the choice is mercer or victoria nox

Amazing price for such a great knife
Really pleased with this Mercer chef's knife. Arrived very quickly and well packed. Did much research and decided that it should be every bit as good as much more expensive knives and wasn't disappointed - it is and better than most. Razor sharp, very comfortable handle and appears very well crafted. I like the colour too! Two years on - anyone want a now little-used Global cook's knife.. ? Love my Mercer.

First proper chef's knife? Buy It.
Best knife for the money. If you believe you need a handcrafted Japanese steel knife that was forged by hatori hanzos dad because it'll make you a better cook - think again. This is hands down the best knife I have used so far. It will last a hell of a long time with proper care.

Worth the money
For the price this is a great knifeI'm not a chef its just for home so I suspect its going to last a very long time, I've spent lots on a knife to have it end in the shed or garden not doing that again. For the price you can't go wrong.

Sharp as hell super cheap for its price
Very rarely, reasonably priced items corresponds to high quality. There are a lot of fake reviews on amazon, many of them simply stole an items' 4 or 5 star reviews that have thousands of reviews and "own" it. You'll see once you read the review for a USB-C charger that talks about this item being the worst Kungfu Panda movie of the three. What???? I kid you not.Anyway, this is a very under-rated, under-appreciated knife, I'm hoping it stays this way so I can come back and buy some more at similar prices. However it is a very sharp knife that has good balance and not too heavy at all. We had for three weeks now, and the knife stayed sharp so far. If you prefer a heavy knife, knife that has weight to it, look elsewhere. I like a lighter knife since when using for a period of time it's not fatiguing. Compare to a set of German knives that we have, the blade on this is thin, since I'm using a knife sharpener, I found that it's not damaging the blade. The German knives now have scratches on the blade due to using automatic knife sharpener on them, I used a sharpener that is one of the Chef Choice's that costs about $150.Since it can be kept sharp more easily, and its plastic handle can be washed easily and will be fine even when wet all the times, I think I might come back to buy more

Step above for its price
I’m not going on record saying this is better than some of my high end specialty knives, but this is a step above for is price. This and the other knives in this line are in my traveling toolkit the are sturdy and easy to hold even when wet, they hold their edge well and last well even with poor maintenance. If you aren’t ready for a quality expensive chefs blade or live with roommates or teens who abuse cutlery these are fantastic and cheap enough to replace without breaking the bank compared to high end knives.
