Size:1 gallons  |  Color:Black Clear epoxy adhesives and coatings can be colored easily. We offer concentrated pigment pastes, dispersed in epoxy resins, which can be added in any quantity.Add the paste to the epoxy resin (Part A), then measure that mixture in the proper proportion with the hardener (Part B). If added according to these suggestions, the colored pigments will not detract from any of the properties of clear epoxy.Epoxy Paste Pigments do not mix with WR-LPU Topcoat or SilverTip Yacht Primer.

Invisible seams in white quartz countertops.
Just installed White Quartz countertops. I had to do a 26” seam and laminate a 9’x1.5”x3/4” square edge. It matched the factory laminated edge perfectly. The seam also turned out invisible. I used JB Weld 2 part clear epoxy from Home Depot and this white pigment.

Difficult to Use With Small Amounts of Epoxy
This paste must be intended for really large epoxy pours, like maybe an entire bar top or something. In any case, I can tell you this stuff is so concentrated it's actually difficult to use with small amounts of epoxy, such as in jewelry items. I had to do quite a bit of experimentation until I found the exact amount of paste to add. If you add too much (very easy to do) your epoxy will come out of the mold disappointingly soft and it'll take forever to fully cure. If you add too little, you get something that looks like milk instead of a nice opaque white.

Black Pigment
I used this with West Systems 205-207 epoxy and I'm pretty surprised just how little you need. For small batches I just dipped the mixing stick in it, let it drip off until it was just barely coated, and that was enough for completely opaque black. It dries just as hard and has a really good gloss. I haven't experienced any issues other people have mentioned like it affecting pot life or drying time, or the ability to remove bubbles via heat gun.

Adversely Affects Epoxy
This is my experience with this product, yours may be different. I use this with Epoxy-it 80 brand Clear Epoxy Resin for Bar Tops, Encapsulating, or Casting (1 Gallon) at 75 degrees F. Without this pigment the epoxy goes on smooth, bubbles pop easily and you have a long working time. With this pigment, the epoxy develops some large bubbles that will not pop not matter how much heat you apply. The only option is to sand them out and top off the project with a clear coat. The work time for the epoxy is reduced to about fifteen minutes then the stuff starts to gum up. Self leveling is a thing of the past.On the plus side this is the "strongest" pigment I have seen. I mix batches in 12 to 16 oz pours. .As the other reviewer said an amount about the size of a pea is almost to much. It mixes into the resin easily.

A little goes a looooong way...
Awesome... is all I can say. You only need a tiny bit to colour a lot of epoxy. Does look slightly translucent while mixing but I used it to fill voids in a hardwood floor and it turned out fantastic. Made the holes look like knots.

I got this after seeing it being used on youtube, its a great product and you need such a little amount I will have this little bottle for a long time. I used epoxy to fill in the crack and wanted to give it a bit of color.

Terrible
Not a fan. This pigment may have been old or maybe it is just a bad product since the product was recently purchased. It started off jet black like I wanted my epoxy to be, but then started to discolor and create an undesirable striped effect. Very disappointed, would never purchase again.

Believe that a tiny bit goes a LOOOONG WAY
I didn't even end up using the pigment. Instead I ground up some scrap pieces of granite with a hammer. The picture is of about 1 tablespoon of the epoxy and hardener (2 total) and a DROP of pigment. I wasn't confident in my ability to drop any smaller amount. If I wasn't repairing a crack with some chips it may have been fine. I gave it 5 stars because it definitely does its job of coloring the epoxy!
