Delta - 1‑HP Dust Collector

This dust collector is amazing for a 1 Hp unit. Comes in box with no instructions. But, after laying out all of the parts, assembly was intuitive. If you need instructions, just Google Delta Dust Collector manual and add the model number. Filter bag comes assembled on the unit. Lower plastic chip collecting bag is a bit of a hassle to install for one person. All dust collectors I looked at have the same problem, for now at least. I'm planning on replacing this bag with a sealed cabinet using a dust collection bucket or drawer inside to make dust removal easier. Overall, I like.

Overall, the components seem fairly well manufactured and sturdy.There were 2 complaints tho:1) No manual for assembly was included in the box. Had to go find a manual online which was a pain.2) When I turned it on the first time, it made a horrible racket from the cooling fan assembly on the top of the motor. I had to take the guard off, and straighten the entire fan assembly as the fan was bent badly. Once I straightened it out and put the guard on, it worked fine.

The product was well packaged and easy to assemble. It has good suction but I was surprised/ disappointed it did not come with a starter hose. On the noise level, the previous reviews indicated it is quieter that their shop vacs, well I don't know what shop vacs they have but this device is A LOT louder than any of my shop vacs... looking forward to putting it in service.

Perfect dust collector for my 20’ by 24’ wood shop. I leave it in one location and have a 4” hose that I move from and attach to all the machines. The motor is quite powerful. I’d by it again!!!

First off, its pretty quiet. Much quieter than either of my shop-vacs, and the suction is pretty good for what i use it for, which is a Dewalt 735 Planer and a Delta 36-725 Table Saw. Mine did come with instructions and its easily put together. The bad...the plastic bag. The clamping system and the cramped cart are horrible. Its a pain in the rear to empty and the bag is small, fills very quickly from the planer. If you have a lot of shop tools like router table, jointer, and planer, I would suggest more horsepower. I've decided to dismantle mine from the cart and build a custom setup with it using a seperate chip collector that can hold 55 gallons of wood chips so I don't have to change the bag every 30-45mins while planing.

Dedicated dust collection for my Sawstop 3hp 240V tablesaw.Bought it cheaper because of “no instructions”Used my edumacation & figured it out.Works good for my use.Wouldn’t use it for long runs n multiple machines.Spend the $. Get some horsepower if you’re doing that.

one of the front bolts will not reach the motor assembly as the bushing are too long. the two front bolts and bushing are supposed to be equal in length. so I did grind it to match. also the suction power is only good for one tool so splitting it make the vacuum power useless.
