What is the little plastic piece with the tiny screw in it?

I don't know about the crank cocking device, but if you are using the rope cocker, this little piece can not be used. I fits perfectly into the groove on the stock, where the cocking rope wraps around the stock. If you pop off the rubber cheekpiece, you'll see the slot for the little nut that the bolt would thread into. You can not use this piece with the rope cocker, as the rope will immediately pop out and potentially damage the scope or something else.

Does the scope have a light? Red, green etc??

Yes it does. It has Green, and red with 4 stages for each color that go from dim to bright allowing you to see at anytime from early evening to dark night.

is a cranksystem available?

Yes. Use the Barnett cocker for the 16" or less power stroke. Works great. Don't remember what I paid exactly but I think it was just north of $100.
