The traditional shape and style fits well into any outdoor living space, with a compact size that works well for balconies or patios. The vent at the bottom of the bowl combined with the lid on top of the flue provides easy control of the air flow, while the strong cast iron radiates heat out for everyone to enjoy. A great added feature of this chiminea is that it can double as a barbecue. The cast iron grill swings out so it's easy to add or remove food as it cooks. The grill comes with a protective wax coating that will melt off on first use. Please ensure all the wax is removed before using it for cooking - we recommend allowing it to cool then cleaning any remaining wax off by hand before use. The three curved legs provide excellent stability, which combined with the weight ensures the chiminea doesn't topple over. To the front is a hinged mesh door with latch that can be closed to prevent anything falling out of the chiminea and helps protect the surroundings from sparks. The cast iron is perfect for radiating heat as well as giving the chiminea a sturdy, long-lasting construction. It works well with wood or charcoal as fuel, allowing for versatile, convenient cooking. To keep your chiminea in the best possible condition, we recommend covering it with free cover included when not in use. You only get what you pay for !! Bought it as chiminea and standby barbecue use.Once constructed you cannot remove the bottom grate (to clean out residue ash) without dismantling the small barbecue grill shelf, a pain and a fav, will be consigned to the local scrap yard shortly for a tenth (or less )of the original price.
