If it doesn't fit, you must've quit.
This thing works great! Hooks up as advertised, lives up to its specifications. However, one thing you cannot do is pinching the hairlike wires in the case when you are closing this project back together. I was trying to modify a single NIC-NUC and it did not fit. The tiny little solder pads are difficult to see, and even more difficult if you are trying to solder the leads back on melting them into a single blob. If you could see my purchase history, I got three of these little babies, and they were all because I tried to force it in, and let me tell you that was not the path to success. When I did it the right way, everything worked out fine, and my family had a new high-speed router, where I can see what type of filth they are using the internet for.

Solid Intel based network card
I ordered this as a second network card for my micro form factor Dell Optiplex, replacing the wireless card. I’m using the PC as my router, using OPNSense as the operating system. It has been functioning fine for 6 months without issues.

Works great with a Dell Optiplex SFF 7070!
Used in a Dell Optiplex Small Form Factor 7070. Just had to download drivers and good! Now I have and extra pci slot free! Cable provided is perfect length to reach all the way back there.

I didn't get a i226-V, 2,5GB intel card just one that doesn't work !!!!!!!!!!!
I looking for anther card to replace that piece off crap. Right on his add, it states it's a 2.5 GB card made by intel, and in a micro-mini P/C that only has one onboard card and you don't have a WIFI card in your PC setup would work, if his add was true. I didn't have a chance to really start work on what I was doing, to really test it. I did install it and it fit good, you just have to turn on that wireless card slot in BIOS if it not already on and it worked. I final got a chance to get back o what I was doing last week, and was making I plugged it into my network to do configure with both cards connected, I ha d some issues at first but figured those out quick. I have a 100/1000/10GB managed , and I wasn't expecting the card to run at 2.5 only at 1GB. I was checking thing out and documenting where I was going to put thing and I saw that card was only running at at 100 MB, I look back at my order, and double checked that it add said it was a 2,5GB card and an intel. So I got my wiring test out and test all the cables, they were all good, next down loaded the drive pack from intel and tried to load that with no luck. So I pulled the card out and looked at it, It did have intel or anyone else's name on it. I can tell you it's not an intel, and I didn't see anything in the box that stated it was an intel or nothing that said 2,5 GB on it either. So start away from this seller. It was a cheat no name card from China that's not worth your time or money to buy that card from this sell, I went to his store and he sale computer parts, About the only thing I can say about his add, it was new. But intel doesn't sell cards with no instructions with it and they are going to have their name on the card some where as well. Just want to let every one know stay away!!!

Ignore other options and buy this.
Excellent option for adding a 2.5Gb NIC to a micro computer. Unlike other options, my Dell micro computer recognized this network card without any issues.

Works with FreeBSD
Bought this to use as a second interface in a Lenovo ThinkCenter M910q micro form factor PC for OpnSense firewall. Replaced the original WiFi card with this and it just works. OpnSense recognized the interface and is fully functional.

You need to install the driver for it to work but it really is 2.5GB.
