The aluminum is very lightweight but yet is sturdy. The teal color around the title "Suggestion Box" is put on with what feels like a powder coating paint but yet we used the tip of the key to see how easly it would scratch or come off and its definitely on there and did not easily scratch.Installation was easy and quick and the dimensions were right on so the fit was perfect. My one complaint is the pocket to hold the slips is very small and it comes with a really cheap pad of note paper. If you want good suggestions, it helps to provide the folks with a decent way to submit them. So I bought some suggestion notes that were 'suggested' by Amazon and ta da! they didn't fit. I tried folding them in half and they were still too big.
