Great vacuum
This vacuum definitely exceeded my expectations. I was a little unsure at first, but after using it I'm really impressed with how well it handles everyday cleaning. One of the biggest things I like is how easily it goes under my couch and other low furniture. A lot of robot vacuums struggle with that, but this one has no problem getting into those harder-to-reach spots, which means I don’t have to move things around as much. It also does a great job vacuuming and mopping my floors, and it transitions between hard floors and carpets without any issues. The noise level is another big plus. It’s noticeably quieter than other vacuums I’ve used, so it can run without being distracting. At the same time, it still has strong suction power and picks up dirt, dust, and pet hair really well. Overall, it feels like a well-designed, reliable robot vacuum that makes keeping the floors clean a lot easier.

Incredible device! An absolute game changer for keeping a clean house
I recently completely remodeled my home interior and laid down about 800 ft.² of luxury vinyl plank. I hate having to vacuum and mop daily, and this robot vacuum has completely changed everything for the better. My floors have never been this clean in my life. It does a great job at vacuuming and a good job at mopping. I say that because I think if your floors are absolutely filthy you are better served to manually mop it yourself once a week or however often needed, and then use the mopping feature of the vacuum as a maintenance. I no longer have fur tumbleweeds from my husky. Our vacuum has kept up with our pets and my four-year-old boy without batting an eye. Seriously, my wife and myself absolutely love our Dreame robot vacuum. We run it every night before bed and then use it for spot cleaning throughout the day if needed. My four-year-old boy has fallen in love with it as well. We decided to name our vacuum 'Tina', after the daughter from Bob's Burgers. So my son gets very excited when Tina comes out to clean. It is important to regularly maintain your robot vacuum, filling/emptying the tanks, wiping clean the sensors and camera lenses, changing filters and replacing consumable parts as needed. I usually do a once a week maintenance on it to make certain it's functioning as needed. The app can take a little getting used to and I think it needs more refinement, but for the most part it's very usable and user-friendly. Battery life has been great so far, but we only have a 1500 ft.² home. We only have one carpet in the house, which has a large 14 x 14 rug in the middle of the living room under the furniture, and the robot handles it perfectly fine. You will probably want to go into the settings and change things to your liking. Out of the box it will vacuum and mop at the same time by default, but I have most of my programs set to vacuum first and then mop, as I feel it's just a better job that way. And of course you can set it up to pretty much do it however you like. You can have it just vacuum a specific room or a whole house, you can have it only mop, you could have a do both at the same time, however you like it. One of the cool features is the ability to set schedules so you can have the vacuum clean whenever you want. Overall it's a very high-quality device, which it should be at this price point, and I honestly don't know how we could do without this from now on. Truly love how clean the floors look and feel. Best purchase we have made in ages.

Outstanding Performance! Truly a Game Changer!!!
I absolutely love this robot vacuum. This is by far the best robot vacuum I’ve ever owned. It is incredibly powerful and picks up dust, pet hair, and debris effortlessly, even from carpets and corners. I love the auto-empty feature and self-cleaning mop so much because it really makes daily cleaning almost completely hands-free, which is a huge time saver. What really impressed me is the corner-to-edge deep cleaning and the detangling brush, which handles long hair extremely well. My floors have never looked this clean. If you’re looking for a powerful, smart, and low-maintenance robot vacuum and mop, this one is absolutely worth the price. Highly recommended!

Decent performance, but not fully “hands-free”
UPDATE: The robot has stopped working it has been less than a year. The robot stays stuck at the base station. I would for sure pick another brand. I have had nothing but trouble with this brand's products. Overall, this is a solid machine. I previously owned the Dreame X40 Ultra, and upgrading to the Dreame X50 Ultra was definitely worth it in terms of cleaning performance and navigation. My home is mostly hard floors with a few area rugs, and it does a great job mapping and cleaning. The navigation is smart and efficient, and it handles mixed flooring well. That said, I do have a couple of thresholds (bathroom and a 3-season room). While this model is advertised to climb obstacles up to about 6 cm (~2.36 inches) , in real-world use it only clears mine about 75% of the time. The other times it gets stuck halfway and I have to manually free it, which is frustrating. My biggest complaint is the auto-empty feature. While it does transfer some debris to the base, a noticeable amount stays stuck in the robot’s dust bin. I still have to manually empty and clean it, which defeats the purpose of paying for a premium “hands-free” system. Pros: Strong cleaning performance Accurate mapping and navigation Handles hard floors and rugs well Noticeable upgrade over X40 Cons: Inconsistent threshold climbing Auto-empty feature doesn’t fully work as expected Still requires manual maintenance Bottom line: It’s a good robot vacuum with strong performance, but not quite as automated as advertised. For the price, I expected less hands-on maintenance. If you’re considering it, you might want to wait for a newer model or compare with other brands offering similar features.

Excellent Cleaning Power with Smart Features!
Firstly, the vacuum came really well packaged! It feels really well built and only took about 20 minutes for unpacking, putting it together, and having to run a quick software update for this beautiful piece of technology to be ready to use. After a few days of use, I can say this has been a big upgrade over my previous robot vacuums. With a dog in the house, the daily fur and paw prints are a constant battle, but this unit tackles both vacuuming and mopping really well. It took about an hour to handle two rooms, the kitchen, living room, dining room, and hallways, leaving the floors spotless. The self-emptying dock and mop-cleaning feature are a game changer; I don’t have to think about it much beyond draining the dirty water after a mop cycle. I also love the AI features, obstacle detection, and custom mapping to target specific areas when they need extra cleaning.I also love the AI features, obstacle detection, and custom mapping to target specific areas when they need extra cleaning. The only thing I’d change is the vacuum bags (since you’ll need to replace them), but it hasn’t filled one yet and seems manageable. After about an hour and 20 minutes of cleaning, it used about 40% of battery with both mopping and vacuuming, more than enough for most people’s homes. Overall, very happy with this purchase. Update: 10/10/2025 It’s been two weeks now and it’s working great. I generally let it run at night so no one’s walking around. I suggest emptying the dirty water tank after every use and letting it air dry before reinstalling. I’m impressed with how dirty the water is after running the vacuum / mop cycle. Or better yet, how well it does cleaning the floors. No issues so far and it has a cool feature where if it recognizes someone is in the room, it’ll go back at the end of the cleaning cycle.

Disappointing Performance, Needs Software Updates
Edit 2/1 : still no update to object avoidance but support has been very communicative. They insist the software team is close to issuing a patch and have also had me submit video and technical details from my machine to help. This robot vacuum has potential but is in serious need of software updates to improve its navigation and cleaning systems. Compared to other robots in the same price range, it doesn’t perform as well. The vacuum is overly focused on trying to climb anything over half an inch, rather than avoiding it. If you have small objects like cat toys or even a sock on the floor, it will attempt to climb them, get stuck, and require intervention. It doesn't mark these items as obstacles, so it will keep coming back to try again. I had an issue with it running over my cat’s food bowls because it tried to climb them—other models from Dreame would detect and avoid them. These issues could likely be fixed with a software update, but I wouldn’t recommend buying it with the hope that they’ll resolve it soon. I’d suggest waiting until those updates are rolled out. That said, it does clean decently. It struggles with fine particles, likely because it uses two brushes, but it handles larger debris well. I do like the app’s features, especially the ability to run the vacuum and then mop without tracking particles. The vacuum runs quietly, and the auto detergent dispenser for mopping works well, leaving floors streak-free, unlike some other models that only use water.

The Smartest and Most Versatile Robot Vacuum I Ever Had!
I have been using the Dreame X50 Ultra for several months now, and so far, it continues to work wonderfully. This investment is truly worthwhile. I give it 5 stars because it doesn't just vacuum and mop, but it does so with a level of intelligence and versatility that clearly sets it apart from the competition. ✅ What Impressed Me the Most: Unmatched Cleaning Versatility: Its most important feature is its ability to customize the cleaning to the maximum. I can choose to vacuum, mop, vacuum carpets only, or run the complete cycle (vacuuming then mopping) in one pass. This allows me to perfectly adapt the routine to every need. Solid Performance: The suction power is remarkable. It handles daily dirt and even dirt embedded in carpets very well, leaving the floors spotless. Goodbye to Dirty Edges: The edge cleaning is excellent. The extendable system ensures it reaches corners and baseboards, an area where many robots fail. Smart and Evolving Mapping: The initial scan of the house is accurate, but what I truly love is that it adds future modifications to the map if I add or move furniture. It adapts to my home's changes. Impeccable, Odor-Free Maintenance: The mop cleaning and drying system in the base is a success. I have not noticed any unpleasant musty odors. Obstacle Evasion 💡: It is very good at avoiding small objects. I can let it run with confidence, knowing it won't get tangled in cables or leave marks. 💡 Final Verdict: The Dreame X50 Ultra doesn't just clean; it manages the cleaning autonomously and adaptably. After using it for several months, I can confirm that it maintains excellent performance. If you are looking for the highest level of long-term convenience and results, this is the machine to buy. It's a true "forget about cleaning" solution for your home.

Just an honest review
I really wanted to leave an honest review because my experience was mixed. First, the good — when this robot was working, I was very, very happy with it. I don’t have carpet, only hard floors, and the vacuum + mop performance was honestly incredible. My floors felt amazing on my feet, probably the cleanest they’ve ever felt. It was also very quiet, didn’t bump into anything, and the mopping capacity was impressive. It was able to mop my ~700 sq ft space about four times before needing a refill. Hair pickup was also amazing. I have a lot of human hair on the floors, and none of it tangled in the brushes, which was a huge plus. The mopping function really works so well. We also don’t have animals, so I can’t speak to how it performs with pet hair. Now the downside. Sometimes the robot would die in the middle of a cleaning cycle for no clear reason, and I’d have to manually bring it back to the base. Then, after not even three months of use, it completely died. It wouldn’t charge, no lights, nothing, just totally unresponsive. I reached out to support and, after many back-and-forth emails, they did agree to a full refund. Unfortunately, they don’t service Hawai’i, which made the process more complicated. I had also purchased Asurion insurance, but you can’t use it until the manufacturer warranty expires, so that wasn’t helpful at the time. Thankfully everything, including the insurance, was refunded. After the refund, we tried resetting and even opening the robot to troubleshoot. For a moment it seemed like it might work again, but then the mapping system (LDS) wouldn’t activate, and it kept saying the wheels were off the floor even though they weren’t, so clearly there were still technical issues. I ended up purchasing a Dreame D10s / Govac 508 from Costco for about half the price to see how it compares. So far it cleans just as well as the Ultra, though I’m not entirely sure what all the differences are yet. I’m hoping this one holds up better long term than my first experience. Overall, I still have high hopes for this company. The cleaning performance, when operational, was outstanding. If they can improve reliability and service support, especially for Hawai’i customers, I would absolutely consider trying them again.
