What size is the pad in the center? The last person who asked this got three very different answers. Would someone please measure for me?

The pad is too small. 6/16". A better bandage is the Hartmann Flex-Band (Hartmann-Conco, Inc, Rock Hill SC 29730) The pad is 8/16". Doesn't seem like much but covers better.
