ANTAITHER Leather Welding Cape Sleeve with Apron, Welder Jacket

Boyfriend loves this welding jacket! especially that it comes apart for summer months! fits size guide!

I bought them three years ago. I still have them are still in good working order. Best pair keep sleeves I’ve ever owned.

Size- I'm 5'11" and 170 lbs, slim build. I take a Large more often than Med, but I decided to trust the measurement chart from the photos. Got a Med and it's just right. I was wearing a long sleeved t-shirt and a light fleece, and the leathers fit over easily and didn't interfere with movement. Construction- overall pretty good. Leather is flexible and heavy enough. Stress points are riveted, collar and cuff snaps are reinforced. The snaps are okay quality. It's not a clunky cylinder shape like some of the low cost aprons. It's actually somewhat tailored, which I think will make it easy to move around in. Cons- first, the one I received has a definite smell, about like the cheap HF leathers. But not nearly as gross as some nail pouches I've bought. I expect it will air out okay, but it's outside for now. Second, the apron portion is a bit narrow. It's wide enough for me, but I'm slim through the waist. If you carry your weight in the middle, you'll either need a larger size or plan to add some more leather to the sides of the apron. In fact I plan on adding about 4" to each side if I can find that roll of kevlar thread that's somewhere around here…

This is a good cape/apron. The leather is thick, well tanned, no chemical smell. Fit is perfect. Snaps are quality. Seams are good. Compared to the yes welder full jacket that I ordered and returned this is an amazing product. First off it’s not poorly tanned split grain leather so there isn’t 7000 little brown nubs of leather on everything you own. And it doesn’t smell like straight acid burn, that’s a plus. Oh and it wasn’t moldy! In all seriousness that jacket was twice as much and was way less than half the quality of this one. Looks and feels just like the $100+ capes. I would buy again and probably will.

Very much worth it. I normally wear a large and the large fit to size with space for anything else you might want under it. Stop thinking about getting it and get it. Save your arms, shoulders and chest from burns and buckshots.

Snaps don’t secure tightly and often come open with minimal movement while working. Other than that, I love the open back, the strap is good quality and the leather is good and tough. Snaps are meh.

I bought this welding vest to go over a coat for when I need to weld outside in cold conditions. There's a lot of bigger sizes to choose from and the sizing chart was accurate, this is perfect for my application. The stitching seems solid all around. I was surprised to get such a good quality item at this price point. Highly recommended.
