My wife bought a toenail clipper from the pharmacy in the grocery store where we shop. The price was too high and the store charged her for two clippers, so I took the clipper back and got our money returned. I told my wife I could do better on Amazon. After research, this kit looked like the most for our money. I was right! The toenail clipper is larger than the ones my wife got at the pharmacy, and has easy to grip padded handles. It's extremely sharp, so be careful, but the cutting head comes with it's own little slip-on hard case. The kit also comes with a nice, average sized fingernail clipper and a whole bunch of tools for digging and prying nails, including a cool mini puller for slowly pulling up the edges of an ingrown toenail (you soak the nail first to soften it!). The included nail file is really nice, sized larger than most so it fits a larger hand like mine well. All in all a great kit for the money, and I would especially recommend it for men with larger hands. There's even a tool included for skin blemishes such as blackheads.

Works, instructions are clear and easy to follow, and relieved my pain. Too bad I'm lazy and forgetful, so I never ended up actually fixing my toenail, just temporarily reliving pain. Just had it surgically removed instead.Only one negative. I absolutely do not appreciate the magnetic center fulcrum. Constantly while adjusting the hooks, and placing the tool on my toe, the thing would fall off or move. I'd get one hook in, try to get the other, "uh oh rubbed against the nail, guess I'll just fall off!" Magnets! Not reliable in the slightest. Even after using this tool for months, the fulcrum was always inconvenient. I hate it. Please, just make it attachable. It's magnetic so you can easily flip it to fix small nails, but I don't have a problem on my small nail, it's on the big one. I don't need to flip the fulcrum.Please, just attach it next time, no magnets

I have been hobbling for several weeks with an ingrown toenail on my big toe. Soaked my foot in hot water for fifteen minutes and then took a few minutes and a little pain to dig the toenail out and snip it off but almost instant relief after. This set had everything needed to do the job. It is worth many times what it cost just in pain relief.

The media could not be loaded. looks promising and i love the info guide in the packet. BUT - my scissors arrived with nicks in the blade (and the whole reason i got this kit was for the scissors). i do not think it will affect the function of them though.

I have frequent problems with the nails on my big toes. They always curve downward at the edges and hurt the fleshy part of the toe. I've done things like shove gauze or cotton under the offending edge, but those get pulled out and I find bits of used cotton on the floor (if my cats don't find them first). And I'm never sure how long to leave cotton in, whether to change it after showering or take it out before, etc.I'd been looking for a better solution for a while and opted to get this kit, since it included all the standard pedicure stuff along with that funky little toenail straightener vise/clamp/whatever.The instructions are easy to follow, and I am pleased with my results. The tools are all easy to use, and the process was relatively painless. After the soaking, trimming, etc., I kept the vise in place until it dried, which was about 20 minutes or so. While that one was drying I kept my other foot soaking and then repeated the process on that foot.The instructions had me put gauze under the toenail edges to help maintain the new shape, and I repeated the process again the next day.My toenails have given me far less pain since then, and I have used the nippers and file from the kit a number of times as well. The metal file would be too harsh for my fingernails, but it works just fine on my toenails. Overall I'm happy with the kit and am glad to have a new, effective tool in my anti-ingrown arsenal.The kit came in a little black cardboard box, with all the pieces packed neatly in foam inside it. I got rid of the foam, as it makes it difficult to remove the tools. They are all currently loose in the box, which isn't ideal. I think acase of some sort with elastic to hold the tools in place would be handy, but it's definitely usable as it is.
