KCF15 15L Compressor Car Fridge Freezer, Portable DC 12v Camping Refrigerator

I am happy that I bought this fridge for the car, because it cools the water really well, and I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Brilliant what a fridge and it fits in a full bottle of wine/water and runs at around 30 watts., and only comes on when it needs to like a normal fridge. You can put on freeze before bed and turn it off all night and even in the heat it only goes down to 3 degrees after 10 hours. Or you can leave it on fridge either way. Just a way of saving power on my battery. My other cool box was on constantly and drained the battery and didnt have the option to freeze. Also fits in between the seats in my Camper.

********note 1year in and I regret buying this. As detailed below I got this to replace a slightly larger fridge I had been running for a few years but needed smaller. I’ve found that while it gets cold it tends to be the bottom half of the fridge so if i put two layers of cans in it (8x2) the top layer is nowhere near as cold as the bottom layer even after running for a few days. The inner metal lining of the fridge you can feel it’s colder halfway down even to the point of a condensation line. Shame it really is but it’s going to be replaced as it’s not performing for me. Including the useless small compartment that doesn’t get cold at all******I got this to replace a much larger fridge as i have changed cars and the foot space in the rear is much smaller. This fits behind the passenger seat in my 24 Hyundai Tucson PHEV but the only problem is the car has a very small 12v battery. Despite the claims in the advertisement the instructions tell you that you can only change the temperature of the fridge and the displayed units from Fahrenheit to Celsius. No battery protection level can be set other than the default one it’s set to at the factory.Despite its rugged looks the insulation isn’t that much better than my old car fridge was (and one of the main reasons i decided to upgrade my 5yr old compressor fridge) the keypad can’t be locked so you can inadvertently change the temperature when leaning over it. The smaller compartment doesn’t really get cold and you can see how poorly insulated it is as ice builds up in the main compartment from the outside air getting in. The fridge draws anything between 44W and 36W but unlike others you can’t set a max or eco mode. The fridge does work as advertised just has a few niggles but it’s absolutely a life saver if your field based like me. I can’t tell you the bliss you get from finishing a job, getting in the car and grabbing an ice cold drink the other advantage is no more wilted sandwiches or melted chocolate bars

I ordered this cooler for keeping drinks, snacks, and fruit in for a long road trip. While it did work relatively well in the car, it took a lot to use it how we needed.Firstly, you can't plug it in outside of the car as the house mains power isn't a high enough voltage to make the fridge work and get it cool before putting in the car.The cable is also a little short too. My car does not have a 12V power port in the front/cabin, only the boot like many newer cars, and the cable isn't quite long enough to reach from the boot to where you'd want to access the fridge inside the car. We had to get a 12V cable extender to make it work for us and when the fridge is already 186.99 (at time of order) you don't want added costs on top of that.We were hoping to cool this right down on our journey and then to take it out for a picnic once we got to the coast. But within about 20 minutes of the unit being unplugged from the car it was warm again. This is only really good for long road trips to store a few drinks (cans mostly as there isn't much room inside). In all honesty you can probably pay a quarter of the price for a standard cooler and ice packs/bags of ice, and get the same results.
