Stanadyne additive is one of the better additives with regards to helping to keep the injectors lubricated during use which also helps to keep them clean and therefore greatly aides in cooling the injectors which are the 3 components of any good diesel fuel; Fuel for combustian-Lubrication of pumps & injectors-Cooling of Injectors, therefore, longer life expectancy! The idea of increasing the cetane rating might be true for some of the additives one can buy, but that is really not the reason to buy any diesel additive! DEF is injected after the combustion process and only used to help dissolve and burn out any particulate matter being emitted in the exhaust. **Q: How often do you use it?
