I purchased and received the STARLATTA Adjustable Shower Curtain Rod (ASIN: B0DJ89FGPC) and it turned out to be (so far) a good buy. I ordered the "Chrome" one. It came in a 3" x 3" box about 18" long, and shipment took 2 days. So for a rod able to span 31" to 80", that was 5 thread together sections in a small box, I wondered how it would do the job. I used 4 of the 5 sections for my 60" wide shower, and it went together and looks great. It's plenty rigid for my purposes, which is not for hanging a shower curtain, but to hang laundry so it can dry. I wash a small amount of clothes and ring them out by hand, then hang them on the rod that I centered over the shower and is about 8" above the showerhead. This rod can handle washed sweatpants, a t-shirt and some small items that are a tad dripping wet with no problem. The most involved task in putting the rod up was getting me and the rod positioned in the shower stall, and with a two-handed grip apply force to compress the rod's internal spring. I adjusted the the rod section that has the spring inside by turning it in and out until I figured the force applied to compress the rod was about right to keep it in place and hold some wet laundry. I still like it (thus far) after hanging some laundry on it a few times. Now I wonder where I can get double ended clothes pins with one end able to clip to a 1" shower curtain rod.

Super easy to install. Looks great. I actually bought two - one for the shower and the other one to use in the window of the shed. Worked perfectly and so much easier to install than a standard curtain rod.

Very strong and sturdy shower curtain rod. I didn’t need a very big curtain rod so I kept a piece off and I was worried it would be too small but it still could have extended even more. It looks very fancy and goes with all the fixtures in my bathroom. Very happy with this purchase

Updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars. Reason: 1 I found a way to make it work. See photo. 2. I now understand that the reason for the rod falling down, is not an under design. Designers had no choice but to make it in the way that it is made. Details: 1. The way I made it work is to place something tacky underneath the bar, just below the point where it is attached to the wall, see pucture. I had some of those hooks that can be attached to tile. But when you don't need them, they can be pulled off without leaving any gook on your tile. And that is working. Now the bar is trying to slide, but the hook is in the way. So the bar is staying. 2. I now understand designers could not make the ends of the bar tacky, so it would stay by it self, without adding any hooks underneath. The reason for that is how this thing is installed. The bar is being twisted for installation. As it is twisted, the ends need to twist as well. If the ends were tacky, they would not twist, and the installation could not be performed. They could make the ends tacky, and design an ability for the bar to slide while the ends do not slide, using bearings. But this would make the design a lot more expensive, especially because this design would have to survive in a very corrosive environment. And I would not buy it. Because it is expansive. Actually, they can make it cheaply, without bearings. Just make the ends to have no friction as the bar is turning, by making the ends to have a bigger diameter than the bar. Then the ends can be made to be tacky, because they don't need to turn. I hope they make one like that. It will work for situations when the tile is glased and is wet and slippery. Old 1 star review: Updating my review from 5 stars to 1 star. Reason: It does not stay up, and falls down: At first, when I used the bar by it self, it stayed up between my walls just great. Later, when I placed my clothes on it to be dried, it kept slipping down, under the weight. My walls are ceramic tile, and the walls were splashed with water: very normal for a bathroom, where a bath curtain is suppose to hang. The wet clothes were heavier than my curtain. But it was not even close to 30 lb, like the curtain weight capacity suggests. This tells me one thing. The material on the ends of the rod is not a grabby rubbery material, like it should be. But instead it is a slippery, plasticky, cheaper thing, like it is. Whatever the price difference is between the rubber piece and plasticky thing, the designer and the maker, did not save enough money, to call it savings. Because you can not purchase a good reputation for those saved dollars. The only way to make this thing to work, is to find something non slippery that can be place in between the wall and the end of the rod, like a real small, round, piece of rubber. Gosh, more things I need to do. I do not recommend this thing. Old 5 star review: I needed an extra rod to dry my delicate clothes in my tab. I wanted it not to rust, and not to be expansive. This one will work great. It is easy to setup. It is easy to make it stay between the walls. It is promised not to rust. It is very light. It is plenty sturdy to support a curtain. It did not give me a lot of confidence in it's sturdiness, at first. But when I compared it to my other 2 rods, I already have, one of which does support a curtain, it was just as strong(or weak), as my other two. Some people complained that the rod is not smooth where sections join, and the curtain will not slide easily. In my opinion, maybe NOT AS EASILY, BUT SHOULD STILL BE EASY ENOUGH. JUST MY OPINION. The only thing I wish is for manufacturer to provide some easy way to store an extra section together with the rod. Oh well. That would really be above and beyound if they did that.

I didn't realize it would be in 5 sections. I only needed four of the sections for my space. Installed fine, but all of those section make it so it bends if you pull down on it and it makes it look and feel less secure and definitely cheaper. It will work for my space so I'll keep it, but I wouldn't buy it again, knowing now how it is.

Works and looks great

Looks nice in my standing shower stall. Overall, it's sturdy and stays in place when opening/closing the curtain. It seems like the rubber isn't quite a tacky/grabby as I think it needs to be so it has fallen down a few times as the seasons have changed - tighter during high temp/humidity and then loosens once it drops. Easy to install, fits our standing shower stall nicely due to difference length attachments included.
