Nice addition to my smart home setup
These work— Matter setup was easy and works well. They are set up directly in the Alexa app!I’m not a huge fan of Cync smart home products, especially their lightbulbs (I prefer Kasa and Philips Hue). But I have a couple older Cync bulbs that are not wifi-enabled (or something?) and don’t play nice with my Alexa. I read that if you add a wifi-enabled Cync product (like these plugs) to your smart home setup, it somehow fixes the issues with the older bulbs and makes them work properly with everything. And lo and behold, once I set up these plugs, my older Cync bulbs were communicating perfectly with Alexa! Those older lightbulbs still had to be set up in the GE Cync app. But I did NOT set up these newer plugs with the Cync app — I set them up using Matter (the instructions walk you through this). For Matter setup, you need a little QR code that’s on a sticker on each plug. In case I ever need to set them up again, I’m trying to hang onto the stickers by leaving them stuck on each plug. But if you lose any of them, the QR code is also printed really small on the back of each plug. The stickers are just more convenient.

Love these
Easy to set up. For those who don't want a totally techy home (no Alexa, etc), these offer an easy way to light the house even if you aren't home and safety in changing which lights are on when you're not home.

Does not power on with a normal wall switch.
If you plug into an outlet with a normal wall switch and turn off the power to the plug, you have to open the app to turn the plug back on the next time you want to use it. Also, it makes an audible clicking noise when you power it up,

"It's your turn to get it"
My wife and I sleep with a fan but neither one of us wants to get out of bed in the morning to turn it off. Not a problem anymore. Easy enough to set up and the app makes it super convenient to control from anywhere. Can even be set to a schedule if so desired. We love it.

Misleading Product That Wastes Time and Sanity
Unless you want to gamble with your time and sanity, stay far, far away.I purchased this so-called “Cync Smart Plug with Built-In Bridge” expecting it to function as described: a plug that acts as a hub for Bluetooth Cync devices. What I got instead was a basic Wi-Fi outlet, deceptively labeled with tech-babble like “built-in bridge” that does absolutely nothing to support other Cync devices.Let me be crystal clear: this plug is not a hub, not a bridge, and not remotely useful beyond turning itself on and off. It cannot connect Bluetooth bulbs, does not offer a “hub” setup in the app, and absolutely refuses to serve the function it was clearly advertised for.I spent HOURS resetting devices, deleting and reinstalling the app, isolating connections, even enabling airplane mode to trick it into behaving like a real hub. Nothing worked — because this isn’t a hub. It’s a glorified remote outlet wearing a sticker that says “bridge” like a toddler in a Halloween costume. And the support documentation? Useless. The app? Clueless. Cync has created a maze of lookalike products, inconsistent naming, and vague descriptions that make it nearly impossible to know what you’re buying.

So far, they work impeccably.

Great purchase
Works great and worth the money! You have to get the cync app so that it can work. I have it on a schedule to power on and off my device at a certain time.
