Commercial Chef 6.6-Qt. Dutch Oven, Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron, CHCI660

This 6.6 quart cast iron Dutch oven with the dome lid and sturdy handles is hands-down one of my favorite kitchen purchases. I LOVE this thing. It’s heavy-duty, versatile, and so well-made. I’ve used it for everything—braising, short ribs, baking artisan bread, making hearty stews, slow-cooking chili, roasting a whole chicken, and even deep frying. The dome lid helps lock n moisture and flavor beautifully, and the size is just right for family meals or meal prepping. The handles are solid and made easy to fit, even it it’s completely full. What’s even better? It’s surprisingly easy to clean. After it cools down, I just rinse it with warm water and use a soft brush or non-abrasive sponge—no soap needed to maintain the seasoning. For stuck-on-bits, a little coarse salt scrub works like a charm. I always make sure to dry it thoroughly and apply a light coating of a light, neutral oil like olive oil or almond oil before storing to keep it in tip-top shape. If you’re on the fence about this, just get it—you’ll thank me later for sure!

I love this cast iron Dutch oven. It works great, I have used it twice so far and I am bored disappointed at all. I strongly recommended it.

The lid handle cracked in high heat

Large cast iron dutch oven. My mom always cooked with one until it was too heavy for her to lift and clean. This is home cooking to me. It is a large pot, so it is not something someone with arthritis could pick up easily, but I find I prefer more and more to cook in cast iron. The handles and lid make it easy to cover and lift. I wanted a larger pan for deep dishes and for larger family dinners, for making BBQ, and hopefully to cook either my turkey, ham, or the dressing this year. Cast iron is pretty easy to clean and re-season, does not scratch or break, and you can't beat the flavor. I also thought this would work if we cooked over a campfire or wanted to put in on the grill.

This Dutch oven is nice and sturdy. It now has a permanent spot on the stove. It is a little more porous so when I try to oil it after it’s washed the paper towel tends to shred so I just use a light oil spray.

Not sure if I can find a replaceable lid since the knob broke off. It is impossible to use now.

It works great on the pellet smoker grill or stove top or oven . Great value for the price

At first I was in love with this pot than I wash it to use it , while it was air drying it begins to rust. So I figured I'll seasoned it but that didn't work as the cover the bottom and side turned. Well needless to say it was returned with a week.
