GCI OutdoorSitBacker Adjustable Canoe Seat with Back Support

Excellent and comfortable canoe seat for canoeing long distances. I’m 67 years old and have suffered some lower back issues so I knew I needed a good supplement canoe seat for our long river trip. The GCI Outdoor worked perfectly. I found it comfortable, it fit perfectly in a 17’ Prospecter canoe and was easily detach from canoe bench and used for other seating options. It appears to be well construction and after 490 miles on it, it looks like new. I originally planned on giving it to the outfitter after our trip but brought it home with me instead, Luv it!

This thing is a life saver if you like to canoe but have back problems like me.It has great lumbar support, and has allowed me to get back into doing canoe trips after years of sitting on the side lines because the pain was so bad. I'm so thankful I discovered this seat!I have a Swift Prospector 17 Kevlar canoe, and it fits great on both the front and rear seats. Buckles are sturdy and allow you to lean back into the seat without it popping off.

At the suggestion of others, we purchased two seats for our Tucktec kayaks and very happy with the purchase. Our paddles are much more comfortable. The seats are lightweight and easy to mount. Highly recommend.

I haven’t used it on the water yet, but sat in it for a while. The seat is comfy and the frame is sturdy. Not sure why the seat cushion is two pieces sewn together. Weird design feature that could come apart if the seam splits. I’m small, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
