At first I was skeptical about the hype around boar bristle brushes. What was the big deal? Would it truly make my medium-to-thick hair silkier? The bottom line: YES!!! This brush has a combo of boar and nylon bristles so it can easily get down to your scalp. I suggest using a wide tooth comb to break up any tangles then follow up with this brush. Use it gently, be patient, don't tug or pull and you'll see shiny results in about a week. No really! You will! :-)

Everything about this brush seems decent. I was a little disappointed that it came with a logo emblazoned on the handle and not in the solid black as pictured. It's also slightly smaller than a typical Goody vented brush, but still ok. On the upside, the dual bristles seem to work well. The longer, rounded ones are comfortable on the scalp, while the shorter "fuzzy" bristles do a good job of combing hair while brushing, adding a finer level of control. The instructions are in Chinese. I managed to figure out how to brush my hair anyway. I'm guessing the most important part of the text advises not putting a hot hair dryer right up against the brush. Ultimately, the brush is good if slightly small, I can deal with the logo, and as long as the bristles stay in, I hope to keep using this for many years. If that changes, I'll update this review.

A little hard/feels rough. But it does the job. I get as much volume with this as any other vented brush, to be honest. I don't see anything very special about this. I like the the fact that this brush has boar bristles and leaves hair feeling nice and soft.

This is my favorite brush!! I have thick wavy hair, and have had a problem with some bristle brushes being too soft. This one is very firm and feels great. It's also easy to clean, and does not retain water, which is a problem I've had with some wood paddle board brushes. Love it!

just what i wanted - nylon pins, boar bristle and half round. works well. too bad it's so small. it's ok for my husband, but not for a woman with average amount of hair. i am keeping it, but will look for another hair brush that is bigger and better for styling.

My wife commented that this brush's bristles are quite stiff. That's okay with me. I use it more as a comb than a brush, and I don't use it with a dryer. I like it.

Product does as it says. I wasn't expecting much but the stuff plastic bristles massage the scalp and are stiff enough to detangle; while the boar hair bristles smooth. It does not have the smell I have read complaints but I don't use a hair dryer.
