Whetstone 1000/6000 Knife Sharpening Stone, Knife Sharpener, Trilancer Japanese Style Waterstone Kit, Angle Guide and Rubber Base Included

I recently purchased a set of Aldi chisels recommended by Paul Sellers. Before putting these chisels to use, I had to flatten the backs and sharpen the bevels. I have tried other methods (sandpaper and diamond stones) and wanted to try whetstones. I was introduced to this particular whetstone on a Facebook sharpening group. The whetstone was competitively priced and had great reviews so I decided to give it a try. The stone came with a couple scuffs on the surface but this did not effect its use. I soaked the stones as instructed and then began flattening the backs with a course diamond stone to remove the bulk of the high spots, then I switched over to the whetstone to remove the scratch marks and get it to a mirror finish. I was surprised how quickly and easily the stones cut into the steel and remove the scratch marks. My chisels backs went from having course scratch marks to a near mirror finish really quickly. These stones work great and I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to try sharpening chisels with a whetstone.

I really enjoyed this Stone, the feedback of this stone was very good. The 1000 grit side is very comparable to my other 1000 grit stones. On the other side, the 6000 grit side was very smooth. It seemed a lot more smooth than my 6000 grit wetstones. It gave my s30v and VG10 blades a hair popping edge. Highly recommended. The only thing I wish they would do is package it a little better, the stone cake chipped on 1 corner, a little more protective packaging could’ve prevented this. But it wasn’t something that I couldn’t work around. The edge guide seemed to work good as well.

I already had a 400/1000 grit stone and I purchased the Trilancer 1000/6000 mostly because I wanted a 6000 to finish and it came with a guide which I knew I neeeded because I'm no expert sharpener. I just want to be able to keep my kitchen knives sharp and after recieving this stone, which came very well packaged, I had a shaperning sessions and now my best chef knife and a utility knife are very sharp and have perfect little bevels on them. The stone did just what I expected it to. Good product for such a price. Would purchase this companies products again.

This sharpening stone is a very good all-around solution to keep your knives sharp in most situations. So far I'm impressed by the quality for the money. Certainly one of the better stones out there. I also have the 400/1000 in case knives are seriously dull, and a 3000/8000 to add a polished edge, but in most cases this stone will be all you need.

Following instructions, I was able to sharpen a knife that was hard to sharpen with simple sharpeners. An old Westhof knife I’ve had for 40 years is now sharp enough to slice a ripe tomato easily. It made my knives go from not being able to cut a tomato to cutting paper thin slices off of grapes. Just recently got it and mine didn't have any dings or scratches. The rubber base works pretty well. The knife holder thing they give you only works on bigger knives but you don't really need it if you know how to sharpen your knives.

Great whetstone. I sharpen everything from pocket knives to kitchen and hunting knives using whetstones. This one is great for the price... I won't go as far as to say it's durable, it does seem to be wearing quickly. I have probably 30 stones, from cheap hardware store ones to shapton glass and DMT diamond plates... This one is a happy medium, you aren't going to get a ton of feedback from it. It's rather mushy to me, but I'm also using it as an oil stone. All of my stones are soaked in a 50\50 mixture of mineral oil and mineral spirits and then drizzled with sharpening oil as needed when in use.

The sharpening stone works fine but it arrived damaged. One corner was chipped off. Hopefully, they will be able to pack future orders better.

I was little bit sceptical about this particual product as I'm paying a premium price for a dual grit whetstone as good quality is rare over here. To my surprise it was very good quality and sharpness that comes out from this stone is of very good, you can literally make razor sharp. Although it needs water but it doesn't sucks too much water which indicates its of very good quality. If I said anything wrong then pardon me as I'm a beginner in sharpening knife and just sharpened my first knife which is a very cheap ₹150 knife to razor sharp.

Received the wet stone in a couple of days after ordering, extremely happy with the purchase the items quality is as good as expected, easy to use and will keep my knives nice anc sharp, hood bang for your buck

I used to have 3000 grit stone but this is much nicer! I've manage to get my cleaver and knife to slice through paper like butter easily after 10 to 15 mins of workout. Good stuff. Giving it 4 star as the edge have chipped when it arrived, doesn't affect the function but its chipped..

Good-looking product and easy to use. The holder makes it even better. And the angle provided with it is useful.

After a few months of use, our high quality knife set was not as sharp as it was when we bought it. I tried 3 manual and 2 electric sharpeners and none of them got the blades back to their original edges. This whetstone arrived the day after I ordered it (and it was only a few days before Christmas). The instructions are easy to follow and the stone works like a charm. A few days after my purchase I received a note from the vendor making sure I was happy with their product. Great follow up for a very good product.
