I'm happy with my choice to purchase this Kittyhok system, besides the reasonable cost,all cameras & components work together as advertised, along with the surveillance app makes it a really great system for home security ! Plenty of camera & app setting features, has it's own built in router, full 1080p images , good night vision & distance, linkable camera repeater modes, 24/7 recording, push detection notifications, digital zoom, remarkable 180 deg. PTZ cameras plus lens angle is more than ample field of vision coverage ! The Kittyhok App works great with your TV, monitor, cpu, or Iphone.... awsome !....... After researching, pricing, & shopping.... overall this system works for me & the best bang for my buck ! I'm a happy camper ! 😊 Things to consider : 1. You can't mount cameras from a ceiling position & get a normal horizontal view . You need to modify with a tilt or angle mount adaptor 2. May need additional indoor or outdoor wifi signal repeater, depending on how many walls or distances involved 3. Be aware that each camera requires a constant power source via a plug wall outlet or power extention as they are always operating 24/7 & do not run on batteries 4. Wow, you can run a couple cameras off the same Power adaptor by buying a "Y"power line splitter cable . 5. Suggest to draw a diagram & plan of your home or area of surveillance with field of vision for best camera placement, in order to get the most usage from each camera vantage point & noting distances , walls , & obstacles as these decrease wifi signal reach. After being in the market for over a year and trying three products I came across this “kitty Hok” because of the advantages 1. The cameras can be panned and tilted – if I want to change the angle or the area of surveillance – it can be done remotely and without physically replacing the camera unit. 2. It has got amazing range. We have a ranch house and the unit cover end to end cameras without any signal extender – this is the main difference between “kitty Hawk” and other products that I tried. 3. The tech support is very responsive - one of the cameras was DOA. I sent an email to the tech support and they immediately sent a replacement camera without any fuss. This is simply great and rare and is really highly appreciated. Only one point I would like to mention – there is no SSID broadcasted – so in case a range extender is needed – it becomes difficult without SSID broadcast. Otherwise – simply a great product for the money. An Update about Kittyhok security NVR & PTZ Camera ------------------------------------------------------------------- Two qualities of this product is out standing 1) The WIFI Range 2) Ease of use including the mobile setup. I was putting off the mobile setup because from previous two experiences I was expecting to spend about 2 hours for mobile app to be successfully Installed and as well as working. Last Sunday 7/30 – I sat in front of the NVR, downloaded the app, entered the name, Password and the cloud ID no. and I was really surprised to see the picture appear on my phone. This instrument is unbelievably easy and you possibly will not need it but in case it becomes necessary - the customer service is very responsive and really really helpful. A Good Product and I am feeling good buying it. Thank You Kittyhok. Important Update - After 8 months ---------------------------------------- Using this Kittyhok security system since end of May 2019 without any issue as yet (touch wood) – The NVR rebooted itself once without any apparent reason and one camera dropped signal and got frozen – but a simple “power off power on” did the trick. The customer service is “unexpectedly good” – well, I guess “great” will be more appropriate term – very responsive with help usually within few hours of lodging complain. I am, so far, very happy with Kittyhok and bought two more cameras – which have just been delivered Recently there was an instance of “hit & run” case without any eyewitness. Luckily one my camera caught the whole thing and police wanted to see the recording. Extracting the file from Kittyhok system can only be done in one hour segment that is 5am to 6am / 7am to 8am etc. – which is a huge file and actual accident was captured for may be 5 min within that 60 min recording. Police wanted that 5 min of the captured video of the actual accident for their investigation and there I had precarious problem. Kittyhok system encodes the captured video file in .AVI format encoded with HEVC/H.265 – which is the latest format suitable for 4k video. The problem are very few video players can play this file and fewer App can convert this format to a format that can be played by common media player like windows media player etc. After extensive research I found one software [Xilosoft video Converter] that can reliably covert the Kittyhok captured video file to Mp4. I converted the .AVI file to .MP4 format and handed over the file to the authority so that it can be viewed easily in windows Media Player. Hope this will be of some help to users. =================Another Update After Two Years Of Usage ============= Update – I am feeling morally obligated to write this update and this is about the promptness of customer support of a company named “ Kittyhok”. I bought a NVR from Kittyhok on May 22, 2019. The device is working flawlessly. Couple of days ago the NVR failed to connect to internet. I tried few things without any success and wrote an email to Kittyhok customer service requesting help. I got their response almost immediately and within few hours they guided me to the fix. The device is running fine again. I wanted to let others know about this because such excellent customer support from any company is very rare. Thank you “Kittyhok.

I am quite pleased with the system. It works very well. The WiFi transmission feature makes it easy install. You only need to connect the cameras to 120 V AC power source. The set up to the base unit is quick and easy. signal quality is very good and the picture quality in HD is very good. I especially like the feature to remotely pan and tilt the cameras. It comes with a wired mouse to control the base unit, but i connected a wireless mouse to the master unit and but I connected the HDMI cable into one of the inputs of my big screen TV. Now I am able to operate the controls on screen from my sofa! Definitely a good product for the price.

We purchase this system and immediately liked it in comparison to another security system we previously bought and returned. It was easy to setup. The clarity of the pictures are great. We ended up with a total of 7 cameras. So far we have no major issues. However, we initially downloaded the IP Pro app per the instructions in the manual and was very disappointed. We contacted the support at Kittyhok and she suggested we download the Kittyhok App itself. It is so much better! However, there are issues when running on 4G. It would lock up and not connect. The system works best on WIFI but also locks up occasionally. We would have to completely shut down our phone in order for the system to work. Also, the system is not completely wireless as each camera still needs to be plugged to an outlet. We were lucky to have power source at each corner of our house cause we had motion activated security lights installed in the past and we used those as the source for power. We love this system overall for its features and price point. Only time will tell if it is a great system as we feel it is today. Things we wished the system has are that it has a two way audio and that we can hear what was being said. The sound is not audible during live or playback mode. The support (Katie) is excellent! She is very efficient and knowledgeable. We would and did recommend this system to people we know. We have researched other systems being sold out there and so far we feel we have bought the best system.

System easy to install and worked well out of the box. We had a good picture on the big screen TV and it worked well on our phones and iPads. However, 8 hours after installation, the TV picture went out. We wrote the seller and I had a new NVR in two days. Had to take the Hard Disk Drive our of old NVR and install in new NVR then I had to pair system with cameras which was a hassle as I had already installed the cameras and had to take them all down to conduct the pairing. It solved the TV picture issue but we had a problem with getting the app to work on our phone and iPads. We reached out to customer service again and they did a good job on helping us resolve the problem. Communications were conducted by email and they responded very quickly. Cameras are ok as on the std. picture setting the camera wants to refocus every 2 to 3 seconds which is annoying so we switched them over to HD setting from STD. Setting. This helped but for some reason we have to keep switching manually to HD setting. It seems to default to STD position. Hope we can find a way to keep it on HD. The night picture is not as clear and covers only about 60 feet in distance. You have to switch over to HD from STD picture quality setting to try and improve picture. Pan and tilt work but we have not been able to get the zoom feature to work. Though it sounds great to have the ability to pan tilt and zoom I believe that we would be just as well off with a system that does not have these features as once you set the camera position we normally leave it in that position. Good customer service but picture quality needs to improve.

I really like this system. I did alot of research before purchasing this item. I like that the cameras can pan tilt and zoom. I also like that I can use all of these features from my iPhone as well as my security camera monitor from inside my place. I had a faulty camera, but that camera was replaced and is up and running like new. It really is a good product. I’m still learning all that it can do, but I am very pleased with what I purchased. I do plan to buy another one just like it in the future for family members. Communication was a little hard to understand when I made a phone call for additional help with setting up the system, but beyond that I would recommend this five stars to anybody.

This cameras are awesome! Simple to setup and easy to install,is high definition video recording systems,the higher the camera resolution the sharper the image clear night vision is one of the most important features for outdoor and indoor security camera systems,this camera records motion detected activity while still continues video recording, it has crystal clear night vision in the dark,also you can pair it with your mobile phone and have access to see everything at any time from anywhere,that is really convenient when I am not home I am very satisfied and happy with it!

Customer support is horrible. Unless you never sleep. No chat, phone or any person to correspond with regarding issues...And there are too many to count. One camera will not focus so I'm considering sending the whole system back unless they exchange defective unit. No email notification, they told me in an email response at 2 am that it doesn't recognize Gmail... "Try Hotmail"... Are you serious? System is not intuitive, and instructions are vague, step by step videos would be helpful. Forget Pan/Tilt if the cameras are not within the same room as the base... Lol I have one camera approximately 20 ft and the movement is delayed by almost a minute...Oh I guess the suspect moved out of view better luck next time... I should have been more cautious about a system that touts all these great features yet no website videos by manufacture but instead people who give reviews...If they don't respond to my concerns it's going back....!
