Prepared Hero Emergency Fire Blanket, Kitchen & Home, 39 x 39 in, 1 Pack

I purchased the 4 pack last year and gave 2 away as Xmas gifts. Kept 2 for myself. Recently accidentally turned on my stove which set my tea kettle on fire through the flame retardant mat. The plastic base melted, the handle burned off but I was able to contain the fire with this blanket. The mat saved my stovetop. The blanket kept the fire contained and cleanup was a breeze. I’ve already ordered replacements for both items. This blanket is a must have for households. Worth every dollar!

You can honestly never be too careful. I got one of these for my kitchen and one for the bedroom. They’re fantastic to have on hand Great housewarming gift. Honestly can’t recommend enough for some peace of mind.

I don’t like having a fire extinguisher because they go bad and you can hardly find a place that will accept them when they are useless. Knowing I have a chemical free safety product that will put out a cooking fire in an emergency is very reassuring.,I hope I never use it. It won’t go bad and that’s very important.

I was lighting an oil lamp with a floating wick for the first time. The fire quickly got out of control. I grabbed long tongs to try to take the candle outside. BIG MISTAKE! The flaming oil splattered all across the table, so now the fire was way bigger and outside of the candle holder! The candle holder was melting in front of me and my table was starting to catch fire! I panicked for just a second but then my husband ran in from the other room with this fire blanket that he had apparently dashed off to grab as soon as the fire started. He threw it on the fire. We could still see the fire under the blanket. A few seconds later, it was gone! We were able to save the table, but the candle holder was half melted! We still talk about that moment years later. It was scary for our whole family. We are very thankful we had this fire blanket!

Essential to have near stove in case of a fire or any appliance in the kitchen. I bought one for my friend as well as a rental apartment. Can be a life saver.

This fire blanket is much larger than expected. Packaged well. Very please. Feel safer now. Good value and easy to use. Would make a great gift for someone too.

Good for fires

Gave them to my son for his house. I feel better now.

Bought for a youth group camp, although have not needed to be used so far they feel like good quality and prefer the soft casing and ability to hang up over the solid plastic option.

This product looks perfect. I bought the two pack of Prepared Hero fire blankets. One for my home and one for a gift. I can’t try it out as it is a safety item, but it looks like it will do the job. I bought the two pack of hooks as well as it looked sturdy enough to hold the package, which it is, and be strong enough to yank the tabs hard in an emergency to pull the blanket out of the packaging. I didn’t want to DIY a hook and have the release slowed down by a poorly sticking hook when needed. Great decision. Don’t compromise, get the hook(s) also. The blanket will be where you need it when you need it, and will be able to be pulled out in a split second.

Fire blankets are used in oil fires where the accelerant (oil) is not miscible with water. Most household cooking fires are oil fires, definitely need an excellent-quality, certified fire blanket along with an ABE extinguisher. 5/5.

Non l’ho provata (fortunatamente), però mi sembra un prodotto efficace e ben fatto. Ne ho regalata una anche ai miei genitori. L’ho messa appesa dietro a una scaffalatura, cosí che sia semplice prenderla in caso di necessità. È una di quelle cose che non ci si rende conto di quanto siano utili fino a quando non servono, ma in quel momento è troppo tardi! La ditta produttrice dopo l’acquisto offre un servizio di newsletter molto utile in cui offrono consigli preventivi per evitare incendi domestici e per usare correttamente la coperta.
