Tough to beat this grinder's value proposition
Excellent grinder. Keep it clean. Don't use sweaty beans. Always hot start. If adjusting finer encounters resistance don't force it. Do it while running to clear any beans trapped between the burrs to avoid damage. This grinder was my first introduction to clarity. You can readily taste the difference between this grinder's output and what Breville's conical grinder produces.

Very well made, works beautifully
I've had the DF54 for a few months now and used it to grind beans for a couple hundred espresso shots. (Yeah, I like espresso...) It's a beautifully made machine: quite heavy and substantial, with a powerful motor. I have not had any of the clogging problems mentioned by other reviewers, but I also clean the machine once a week, I pour the beans in gradually so they don't overwhelm it, and I don't use oily beans. I also read through the manual and I've been following the instructions for adjusting the grind size (you must run it if you're going smaller). Like any sophisticated machine, you have to take care of it if you want it to work. And common sense would indicate that you need to pour the beans in slowly so you don't clog it. Oily beans can also be a problem, but they generally taste bitter anyway so most coffee enthusiasts stay away from them.

Great Grinder
Great addition to home-coffee maker as you can really refine your grind size to pull better shots.

Good grinder. Better pricing can be had elsewhere.
Good grinder so far. Burrs did not need alignment as they were pretty close. Only thing is you can get this grinder online for about $30 lower than here. This came shipped from overseas. Otherwise happy so far. Still dialing in my espresso to this new setup.

Simply the best for it's price?
No brainer for the 260$, this is just simply the best coffee grinder for this money. - I made Chemex and espresso(light and medium roasts) with that, which was atrociously good. - The grind uniformity itself is unbeatable. - It's a single dose, so out of the box it's not handy to make Chemex(max load capacity for beans is around 20-25 grams, I think) - Almost zero retention(tested with the scales with accuracy up to 0.1 grams), per my tests, the retention was about 0.1-0.2 grams - It's compact and does not eat up our countertop space at all(the bottle of San Pellegrino on the right is just for reference) Keep in mind, that it's a flat burr grinder(it gives you a slightly different taste profile than a conical burr grinder). P.S. The mess around the coffee grinder is caused by me pushing too hard on the bell at the top, which has resulted in a burst of coffee in the container.

It’s great
This is my first coffee grinder machine. Works great. Instructions are simple enough. Weigh your beans put them in the chute and grind away. Make sure the grinder is turned on before you put them beans in. Grind comes out evenly. The noise level isn’t that high either.

Un gran molino para el precio. Preciso y de muy buena construcción. Me lo recomendó un amigo, revisé opiniones y estoy totalmente satisfecho con el molino. Recomendable.

I’ve been using the DF54 Single Serve Coffee Grinder for a few weeks now and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s clearly designed with single dosing in mind — no wasted beans, no mess, and very consistent results from grind to grind. The grind quality is excellent for the price. I mainly brew pour-over and espresso, and the adjustment dial is easy to use and precise enough to dial things in without frustration. Once it’s set, it stays put, which I really appreciate. Build quality feels solid and well thought out. It doesn’t feel cheap, and it’s surprisingly quiet compared to other grinders I’ve owned. Static is minimal, especially with a quick RDT spray, and cleanup is quick. Overall, this is a fantastic option if you want a reliable single-serve grinder without jumping into much more expensive territory. It’s been a noticeable upgrade to my daily coffee routine and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone serious about their home brews.
